    Good morning!

Figured today would be a good day to post some pics!

    The setup:

    Current temp: 82f
    Humidity: 46 percent

Gonna throw some water in front of the fans to cool down and raise humidity slightly. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

June 1: Finished germinating, got twins! Went into soil, they popped up about 6 hours under the cfl's.

Mid afternoon I discovered that I indeed had twins after these lady's took off their hats. I am proud to introduce: Lady Marion and Miss Janesworth. :)

June 2: Day two (at this point I was overwatering) I didn't realize at the time -newbie mistake :)
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1402057366.086306.jpg

End of day two. I was watering (Distilled) about every three hours with temps in the 90's. I was waiting for my temperature and humidity monitor to arrive so I had no idea til the next day which is also when I realized I was overwatering and stunting growth.

Day three: Not much change, and after spending a few hours in the forums I began to realize my mistake and just misted the top of the soil after it was very dry.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1402057679.087594.jpg

Day four: Rinse and repeat and the girls began to grow a bit more :)

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1402057731.286195.jpg

    Day 5:

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1402057759.902888.jpg

    Day 6:

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1402057803.836443.jpg

As of yesterday and today I give the soil a nice spray in the morning when they wake and once more just before they sleep at the end of their 18 hour day. So far, it seems to be going really well but if anyone has any tips or suggestions to make the lady's happy, I'm all ears :)

The cfl's are about an inch to two inches away. I also rotated the 2700k over a socket after the fourth day just to even out the distribution a bit.

    Thanks!

  4. Very true! I'm glad I caught it early and read up on it. I got two plants from one seed. From what I understand, it's a bit rare but happens... usually one is a runt and dies off but I would be thrilled if I can manage to train and keep both healthy :)

  7. Day 11! So I found out I had fungal gnats due to my overwatering in the beginning. It appears that they were unable to do any damage but it freaked me out greatly. This is how I battled them:

I let the soil really dry out to stop in larvae.

I added a little more soil on the top layer to keep the adults down

Lastly I put a little diatomaceous earth down and I haven't seen them for about 12 hours now.

Hopefully I'm in the clear and no root damage was done.

  8. Day 17.

Encountered a few problems 1. Noob mistake and over watered in the beginning got rid of the fungal gnats (haven't seen any for days) 2. added 1/4 nutes two days ago and it seemed like the brown spots/yellowing increased which I stopped 3. The lights may have been to close. I trimmed up the yellowing at the tips. Any insight would be great!

  9. I'm doing my first grow now so my knowledge is a bit limited but...

1.try not to water till she's pretty dry. Or stick your finger into the soil about 2" deep..if it's still moist, dnt water.

2.ive always read not to use nutes till about 3-4wks into vegg...but if you wanted to experiment..try 1/8 or 1/16 of full strength...

    3. I try to keep my lights exactly 3" at all times. I've read that 2" is the closest and 4" in the furthest you want your lights so 3" seems ideal to me.

But from your pik...she looks great! Whatever your doing...keep doing it!

You might want to consider pulling one of those plants out, as putting two plants in one pot will cause them both to fight for nutrients and the roots will strangle one another.. The result being stunted plants and slow growth all together making yield very minimal. Compared to growing one plant in there with a much higher yield.

Also I saw you mentioned you trimmed the tips of the plants because they had yellowed, eh I probably wouldn't have done that as this makes the plant think it needs to grow more roots and it will focus on root production compared to plant leaf growth.

Usually cutting of the tips is done when we clone. Lol but it's all good.. Just make sure you don't plant two seeds in one container next time and if you don't want to pull one of them right now for fear of breaking the roots on the other plant, you can snip one of them with sanitized scissors. Snip it at the stem and the stem should die off and the roots for that plant will die off as well.

    Just throwing out my advice

Thanks so much for your input, since this is my first grow I expected to make a bunch of mistakes and I'm very appreciative to this community and it's valuable advice. I only planted one seed just happened to get get twins. I took it as a blessing from the cannabis gods lol.
