Help Planning Trip To Colorado

Discussion in 'The Great Outdoors' started by zeusxix, Jun 5, 2014.

  1. My wife and I are planning a 5 or 6 day trip to Colorado in May or June (a year from now). However, we are looking for trip ideas. Our initial thoughts, based on the advice of a friend, is to spend  a day/night in Denver, a day/night in Boulder, and then a few nights in Estes Park staying in some sort of riverside cabin or lodge.

I figure we will stock up on good herb for the week while we are in Denver. Any suggestions on where to go for good local dank (I'm sure there are a million places)? We would want to do some light to moderate hiking while in Boulder and/or Estes Park. Any tips on good hikes in those areas? Any recommended moderately prices places to stay in these cities? What other good activities should we look to do? Any nice places to sit out and drink a bottle of wine and smoke a good joint outdoors? How do the authorities handle weed in Rocky Mountain National Park? Finally, I realize we can't see the whole state in just a few days, but are we neglecting any cool places or towns to see not far from Denver?

    Any sugguestions/advices is welcome. Thanks.

  2. ill answer as best as i can.

First off, alot of those questions are perfect for google.

like restaurants and stuff, Recreational pot out here is EXPENSIVE!

    just be ready for that.

Boulder has ALOT of trails up mountains and small hills.

Places to stay in boulder wont be cheap, anywhere up north like that is a bit pricey.

State parks are FEDERAL land, so its still illegal on their land.

does that stop ANYONE, no...Do they care....NO.

just dont be a douche about it. like LOOK AT ALL THIS WEED I CAN BUY LEGALLY!!!!

Some cool places in colorado are all REALLY boring i feel.

hopefully more people from up there chime in.

im from the springs and there isnt much to do down here.

  4. I live in colorado springs and their is a TON to do. Most people that say this is a boring town don't fucking enjoy anything anyways.
I'd say check out colorado springs as well and take the drive up pikes peak. Or you can hike up it which isn't even a bad hike. About 12 miles which is worth it for the view.
We have a few weed clubs here, just cant buy it like you can in denver as recreational. But there is a place downtown that will sell you 5 dollar payrolls of a strain of your choice. There is TONS AND TONS of outdoor shit to do all over the state. Colorado springs is cheap to stay in and right up against the front range with amazing views. Plus its roght on highway 24 which is one the the most beautiful byways in America.

  6. I have been to Colorado Springs and I have to say there is tons of great hiking and climbing to be done around there. All I know is that if you are gonna smoke do it before you climb a mountain because it is windy as fuck at 14,000+ feet.
