Trimmed All Leaves During Week 5 Veg

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by maxinout13, Jun 5, 2014.

  1. What do you think. I have already seen new tops sprout up. More light less "solar panels" this resilient plant can take a lot. So I decided to focus on top production trimming 50% fans. Anyone ever do this?

  2. poor plant :(

  3. Poor plant?elaborate please.

  4. @[member="АugustWest"] was this a bad idea :/

i donno man.. i don't wanna argue with the leaf trimmers out there. but pulling 50% of your leaves just seems counterproductive to me.

i'm one of those crazy people who likes having lots of leaves on my plants... i let the LST take care of business and let the leaves do what they are designed to do..

    low stress training.. http://forum.grasscity.com/plant-training/122936-how-lst-low-stress-training.html

^^ that's a pretty old thread, there might be a more updated explanation somewhere.. just try a search.

but dude.. don't listen to me or anyone else. you grow your plants the way you want. try different methods and figure out what works best for you and your situation and grow room.

  8. After reading your thread I would be more apt to listen to you then most lol great thread dude. I have a bunch outdoors this was just a tester inside to learn topping fimming lollipopping etc and to clone. She was the only one of 10 that had amazing purple stripes through out the main chute idk what that meant but was pretty to my noob eyes. :)

Post some tips comments or concerns everyone is be happy to hear your thoughts or your own trials and errors lol.

  9. leaves hold onto ALOT of nutrients come late flower.

in the last week or so of flower then die off giving what they have left to the nugs.

but ive heard so many people sweat by removing leaves as it makes the nug grow faster possibly.

as theres nothing else for the plant to focus on

  10. Well we will see I just topped and this is more of a project and learning experience I'm expecting her to be stunted a bit and hoping the lower told catch up also been training them a bit anyways just having some fun! Week 2 of my seedling starts today so once they catch up she should look really nice and hope to flower all at once before cloning from all four strains.

  11. The purple stripes CAN be caused by deficiencies.. :hide:

I like leaves, I only take em off when they're yellowing/stealing energy from more important growth

and reading the last post, clone b4 flower

  12. Yea..

  13. So most of you suggest against this? I've read many times people trim lower bud sites which aren't getting light from under the canopy to provide more growth up top. Like ny plant here...I want to clean up underneath but some of your answers worries me.
    Opps
