Sticky Fingers In the Sticks

  1. No picture update but good news!

Watered the plants before lights out at 3, checked them after work when they woke up, the two droopies look a LOT better. The topdress didn't get watered in before because the plants had literally gotten water a day or so before they started drooping, I didn't want to drown them. So today the watering did a great job of pushing the topdress into the root system. Hoping they can recover and get some extra growth on them before the buds develop

  2. Also, I'm going to get you guys some photo updates of the bagseed plants that are outside. Maine weather has been good to them, very sunny warm days from morning until just before sunset, then rain storms during the night. Neither plant has had a bit of droop to them even with the amount of water they've grabbed. Trying to keep them short and bushy, testing out super cropping, did a couple tops. Haven't really been too specific, their kind of my test subjects to figure out what I want to try with the next grow.

  3. Plants just woke up, I believe today is day 60. Took some pictures under the lights to show they are perking up beautifully.

The plant on the right - the right growth tip is going to continue being droopy for awhile I think. The stem coming from the center is brown, skinny and fragile, I think it survived the essential oil, but got a drop right there on the stem, nearly killing it where it touched. Hoping maybe I'll see a knuckle develop, because if the bud gets too heavy on that side it will snap without support - just going to give it a week and then maybe support it

  4. Outdoor plants. Did my supercrop bend 2 days ago, it's the last I'm touching the plant until harvest. Within the next few weeks I should start seeing signs of flowering anyway.
The one in the gallon jug is thirsty, first time I've ever seen it droop...

The stem at the base of the Walmart bagged one is wicked thick with multiple roots branching from it - originally it pushed itself through almost 3 inches of dirt to say "hey I'm alive asshole"

  6. If you read through the thread you'll know why, they were good until I couple of accidents. Essential oil dripped on them and hurt them VERY badly, practically killed where it touched. They are springing back. I'm aware they look sad, but they are getting better.

  7. Went outside to take a look at the bag seeds. Only got pictures of the bigger girl for now, really need to transplant the smaller one, but I need another batch of soil and another fabric pot.
I think my future runs will be in 3 gallon fabric pots for inside.

No picture updates on the inside plants, all 3 are confirmed females(pretty excited since they were not feminized seeds).
One of the girls - z28#1 has 3 partially droopy colas and 1 very happy healthy one - a sign that I was right about how bad that essential oil was to the plant - it really really damaged both z28s - I'll have to show a picture later in the week.

Currently got my mother/clone box planned out, just need to find the time for building it and getting it placed inconspicuously. I definitely want a clone of the night train and the large outside plant, which from now on I'm calling Wally, since its a bag seed in a Walmart bag.

Take a look at the stem on that plant!

  11. You might change your mind if you knew how bad the mosquitoes and horse flies can be here - I can't imagine how awful they would be without the spiders helping with the population. It seems to rain once daily here lately - mosquitoes get extremely bad after every rainfall too

So these are both clones of Wally that I took Thursday... They seem to look pretty healthy to me. I've got a 32oz clear plastic Walmart Deli container that I float above them(they go about halfway over the cup and rest on the empty cups in the picture) and it is misted with water.
They are sitting in front of a sliding glass window for their light while I finish my veg /mother box

  13. Just some cab photos. You can see the Z28#1 has one wicked healthy branch, she's bounced back strong on that side, while the rest of her still buds, she's half droopy lol.
Night train(first picture) seems to enjoy being slightly droopy but is popping pistils everywhere.
watered about 3 days ago with a kelp meal/ewc topdress for all 3 plants.

My outdoor Wally plant is unbelievably healthy, I think I saw signs of a couple pistils on it - if so, she will yield a good makeup for all of my mistakes inside - and I have two clones (one looks fantastic, the other is roughing it) from it in the process of rooting in a half-finished cab (gotta get some more light, a fan and then finish boxing the walls in).

I did some research on the Z28 genetics. My buddy claims its a MOB x Afghan Kush that he bred, mob= Mother of berries - Maine strain clone cut but honestly, after looking at other MOB cuts, I think it's showing mostly MOB genetics.

I'm pretty annoyed with myself and my big mistake with the indoor girls, but next time around they'll be loved the right way, and I'll have some more lighting in the flower cab. For now I'm seeing two strong contenders for mother plants, and 1 mediocre
Z28#1 has shown a lot of strength even with the mangled life it has lived.

Wally is a beautiful healthy outdoor plant, has not shown a problem since fighting its way up through 3-4 inches of dirt.

Night train has just been going with the flow, no huge standout to me except for during veg it responds fantastic to training.

  14. 1.night train
    2. Z28#1 note the one super happy branch.
    3. Super happy branch
    4. Lower plant growth z28#1
    5. Z28#2 droopy but still trying to keep up, she's looking better every day - I probably should have let them all veg 2 more weeks, but it's a personal grow and learning experience.
6 and 7 are photos of a couple night train branches.

Still wish I could see them without the damage I caused : (. The reveg is where it's gonna count though.

Abused mothers will put out some beauty clones that get treated better

  16. One sneak peak photo of my indoor Z28 girl at the end - she's got the healthiest cola and taken the biggest beating.

Wally in picture 1, the 3 other photos are of hood. You can see pistils starting to pop out on her, still waiting for Wally to show.

At this rate I have germinated 5 plants from non-feminized seeds and 4 are confirmed ladies. Pretty happy with my luck - I did mention previously that I get lucky this way lol
