What's up!! People:: so this is my first time growing and it's cheep. I got bored and want to grow myself some Girls they don't talk back and are Sexy as hell. I have a lot of time on my hands and don't want to spend much on this but will pay for what is really needed if I can get it at the store around and there's not much so I seen some videos and seen something on cheep builds so I maid my own. It's two boxes taped together and treated to fire proof it. I will list what I'm using and have to work with ANY And ALL input welcomed and needed. I will then explain how I started and then what my plants have been through. LIGHTS:: 4-75W 6500kelvin 860lumens per bulb 2-2700kelvin for budding will be getting more soon. SOIL::Black Gold Natural&Organic potting soil plus fertilizer 0.05-0.0-0.0"5 Total Nitrogen 0.05% Water soluble Nitrogen 0.006% Water insoluble 0.044% Derived from earthworm castings Ingredients:: A blend of 45-55% Canadian Sphagnum peat moss,(and one or more of following:compost,composted peanut shells,composted rice hulls,forest product,pumice of cinders),perlite and composted earthworms. My first soil was a cheep bag of shit. I transplanted them in to this new soil yesterday. Plant food:: Mg all purpose water soluble 24-8-16 Espoma:: mix 10-10-10 So I started my first plant in the shity bag soil cause I did not have the Black Gold yet. It turned yellow so I put it outside and it came back to a good green. I brought it back in and it started to go yellow again poor plant!! I planted a seedling a few days ago and transplanted both of them yesterday into the Black Gold. Today they are looking expect for the older one has some darker purple/red on the bigger leaves. I say just leave the plant alone for a few days and let them get acclimated to their grow environment. You bringing the plant inside-outside-inside is stressing the hell out of them. But dude, real talk, I really hope that tape keeps your equipment secure. Over time, the adhesive will wear down due to heat/humidity and would hate to see that stuff drop on your babies. Be vigilant homie.
Ya I feel you on the tape when I was making it I used duct tape and used super glue on tape I was thinking about that. I'm going to be making a new house for them soon I was bored and wanted to build something and that is what I got. I have been brain storming on something new so we will see what happens wish me luck lol.... Ravekid
I used insulation boards from Home Depot. Like the kind that goes inside the walls behind drywall. Its sturdy, easy to cut and is fire retardant.

So let's see where I'm at. I'm working with only two plants at this time cause my other ones did not make it do to the soil and lack of knowing what to do at the time. My older plant is starting to come back and my newer one is doing great!! I have them In Black Gold soil and they seem to love it. I mixed in some 10-10-10 to my older one and her color is coming back thank God. I have not fed my younger one and don't really know when to start? The soil is 0.05%-0.0-0.0 and all I have for food is 24-8-16 and 10-10-10 what one and when should I start the younger one? It's been potted for about 5 days now. Lookin good bro. The insulation boards are a good idea. One of my friends made a small cab out of white foam core so look into that as well.
So just a lil up date I fed my plants today they seem to be doing good they will have a new home in about 7 days can't wait still stuck between ideas but I'm close lol.... Those are looking much much better now! I personally would throw that 24-8-16 away. It sounds like a death trap for your babies. I know you are eager to feed your girls but like I mentioned a few times before, they are way to young. Just forget about fertilizing for about 3 weeks or so. You have to understand that right now, your plants are small, with a small root ball. It takes a while for a plant to get used to its growing environment. The yellowing you were asking me about is only because you got a small plant in a big pot. But that's ok. Just let her the fuck alone and let her grow some. Don't feed, don't transplant, don't flush, over water, nothing. Just let her do her thing. Give her a chance to recover and focus on growing. I promise you she will thank you later.
Ok cool and thank you I will lay off the water lol.... And they will be much better soon more room to work with. I'm going to build a box just trying to think of a good size that's not way big but not small. Ravekid
So I'm back and things are going much better. BOX: 2x2x4 lights: 4-6500kelvin 880 lumens 1-2700kelvin 1-2' T5 6500kelvin 2000 lumens So I only have 3 plants going right now cause the temp problems killed them all off. One of them I keep in the sun and the other two are in the Box. I planted two more seeds yesterday one popped this morning. I can see the new growth since I moved to the new spot bubyyyyyy heat!!! Don't know they are bag seeds from some good smoke!! So I have updated some of my setup not to much but added a T5 6400kelvin 2,000 lumen light to my 4-6500kelvin cfls just started 8 more plants the other day one died and 5 don't look so hot. I have 11 plants going right now ad about 5 of them are doing good. I just ordered a pH adjuster kit and some Dyna Gro 9-3-6 hopping this will be much better then the Mg 30-10-10 I have. I'm keeping two of my plants in the window that died off and I brought back they are doing great. I have to learn how to LTS cause the bigger ones leaves are shading the the under growth. I had given the window plants a Epsom sat spraying last week and it perked them right up!! Well till next time hope all is well and wish the best of luck with everyone's grow!!
