Recently I went to barrie for a glass show displaying the newest works from elbo, joe peters, and coyle condenser. I also took pictures at the gallery itself so Ill post all the non blurry pictures
This is a new colour named orangedrop, similar to lemondrop but orange (duh) This is a $25,000 piece And heres a $80,000 piece Ill post more when I get the chance
I was gonna post in the heady thread but not all of these pieces are heady, theres some scientific in this mix too, which i will start to post
Some of these don't look good enough for the price. I see heady stuff around where I'm at that's pretty crazy and while being outrageously priced, its not that over priced Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Grasscity Forum mobile app
That's because the stuff you see isn't joe p X banjo collabs. And to the op beautiful pics, amazing to see these things all on the shelfs after seeing all of it on Instagram Trim Nazi
The first set of pics I didn't dig- It's cool glass but i've got a $200 bong that I guarantee works better than all of those and is cleanable. I understand you buy it for art and all, but I would never spend that much! Same goes with all other mediums of fine art.
want that blue gabe halliday, you wouldn't happen to have seen the retail tag on that did you? Guy on the far left. I need to make a trip to LC, the only reason I wasn't too interested in going there for that show.....kind of stupid to go to Canada to see elbo and Coyle when they live in your city lol. Joe Peters was here as well making some of those pieces. Elbo has a demo coming up at mint green music festival. Also gonna do a set, he also djs.
Here's some more pics from Liquid Chrome's FB: Coyle X slinger fish...graal work scales. And really, you go through all this work and then put on a standard joint and clear dome....WTF? Work like this requires hand worked joints and domes. Joe P wood grain dragon Lemon drop B-rex.
Your 200$ bong isn't considered art, its not about the hit with concentrates anyways. Its because they spent 50-400 hours making some of these pieces, and spend mad money on glass rods and torches just so they could produce these works
yeah Jason's a boss. I'm sure he hooked it up lovely for everyone who attended. Looks like a real nice spread, bet that shit was HOUSED lol.
Oh I know my bong isn't art- think the general gist of my statement made that clear-thanks for paraphrasing exactly what I said though.
