  1. I would really appreciate it if I could get some help with cloning. I have cloning powder all I could afford ATM. But any help is well appreciated. *bongin*

  2. Soil....

Cut, dip, stick in solocup of moist soil with a sandwich bag for a cover and put under floros.

Takes longer to type that then to do it.

  3. How many clones should I cut cause I have read that powder sucks :-(

I chop 4 to 10 depending on the doner plants size. With 4 you have to get most of them to live.

Powder works but the jell is better.

I like to make a bubble cloner for less them 10 bucks, aquarium air pump, air stones, plastic tub from the doller store. Punch holes, poke the stems through with the air bubbling the water and thats about it. keep the light out with duct tape.
At that point you are 99% DWC hydro, just add nutes when the roots shoot out and off they go. Or put them in soil when the roots are 4-6 inches long.

  5. or you can get some jiffy pellets! they work well for me! I totally agree about the jel, I dip in jell then into powder!

  6. What's the best way to clone? I was told take your cutting, soak in water for 24hrs, dip in rooting hormones, plant in jiffy cubes, put in humidity dome, spray some water for humidity in the dome, then leave on a 24/0 light cycle for one whole week without opening the dome. Is this accurate? Anything u would change? Any help is needed havent cloned b4 and need correct info.

  7. You wil have to spray the dome (not the cuttings) everyday and/or multiple times a day. This gives a chance for some fresh air exchange as well.

  9. This is a question for the advanced forum?  :bongin:

  10. You think cloning should be for the beginners, the ones that take a picture of a seedling stem and ponder, "Hey guiz! 19th week how much purple buds do you think I'll get?" All while over watering?

What i do is using a solo cup.. or anything that size really.. fill it with media.. usually mostly coco coir and some EWC and get it wet.

Then add in your clone and on top i put a plastic baggie, just tear down the sides so it fits snug.. perfect green house effect. I wasted 20 bucks on some lame dome only to have it be really freaking annoying.. this is easier and cheap.

Now to check if they are rooted you wait about a week and if they aren't dead, take off the plastic bag and wait a few hours, not over night, not 8 hours, but 2 or 3 tops. If they look wilted then they aren't rooted and you need to replace the bags and check in another week.

If you see any new growth then that also means they have rooted. All in all it takes roughly two weeks to fully root a clone. Expect about 30-40% to die off or be stunted in some way... at least at first.
