THE LINK TO THE STATE WEBSITE ON THE MMJ PROGRAM:

    \n\n\nTHE BILL ITSELF:

\nI think this will be very interesting to watch develop.  The two manufactures need to be chosen by 12/1 if MN can't get a supply from the Feds.  There is a six month extension allowed.
\nWhole plant extracts are allowed. It's not a CBD only law but there will only be two manufactures and they will get to choose strains with input from the Commissioner.

Just read an article that stated the punishment for a medical patient is worse than a non patient if there caught with the flower. Wtf!! This is so stupid. No wonder so many people that fought for this law will not participate in it. Hell I wouldn't either if that's true

  3. Thank you for supporting patients and being interested in laws that would actually help them. Yes, this is unworkable prohibitionist garbage of a bill. Yet people on here can't seem to support this and other bills like it enough. All deemed to be a "step in the right direction." Bullsh#t.

  4.
    Yeah.  That's pretty ridiculous.

  5. Thought it was a good first step in the right direction as most states have expanded there laws but this is just as much garbage as the GA bill that was to pass here.

  6. My mother was diagnosed with Stage IIB cervical cancer, then i wasted a lot of money for years for treatment, until i saw in the phoenixtear.ca in the internet that cannabis oil can cure all cancer,i tried to look for a way to get the Rick Simpson Oil and finally a friend of mine who he helped via email:ricksimpsoncannabisoil@hotmail.ca told me how to reach him and get the oil,i was able to email him and bought the oil,my mother started taking it on 12th January and glory be to God she was healed in April after her last scan,i would want to thank Rick for the time he spent in getting this oil to save lives his email is ricksimpsoncannabisoil@hotmail.ca,the oil works for all type of cancer and it is worth it.

  7. 40 ACERS IN MN NEVER SEEN THE LAND, I HOPE TO GET UP THERE THIS YEAR thinking ABOUT BUILDING A LOG CABIN

  8. I've watched for years now all the unworkable restrictive laws being passed or introduced and tried to tell people not to lend their support to them. It really hasn't mattered which state. They've all been working toward the same end game. (Pharma provided meds, select growers/gentics.) Now that its really in hyper drive, people are finally starting to see it unfold and how bad it is.

  9.
...and you thought the prohibitionist dog would just roll over.

  10. Speaking of prohibitionists...right on cue as always.
People know your bent by the laws you lend your support to. The only question is WHICH special interest you represent.
So just spill it already and save us the constant drama.

  11. "About 5,000 people per year are projected to use the Minnesota program -- tens of thousands fewer than those who would have had access under a broader bill that passed the Senate in the spring. The broader bill provided access to marijuana to patients with intractable pain and post-traumatic stress disorder, which are not included among qualifying health conditions."

What? PTSD patients can't get access to MMJ? Who the fuck made that decision? How ridiculous. This whole bill is ridiculous. Why do we need these "restrictive and controlling" laws? Cannabis is good for medical and recreational purposes and is safer than alcohol, yet we still let this bullshit happen. Just skip the BS and the slow process and legalize for everybody already so that there is no pharma monopoly and so that price goes down. So simple. Vote down any bill that has all these tight ass restrictions and wait until a reasonable bill appears.

  12. The people did not vote on this law.  There were two Bills, Senate and House, very different, almost got tabled, Gov. signaled he may be up for a compromise after getting guilted by sick folks, Congress went to Conference Committee to sort out differences and in one day drafted the current version and passed it in both houses the next day.  It is very poorly worded and thought out IMO.

I read in the Daily Cannabis News today that there is already concern that the chosen entities for production and distribution, whomever they may turn out to be, will likely have a tough time making money with 5K patients, $45 per gram of oil, 2.5 grams per pt. per month.  The "Rule-Making" body will decide if these are to be non-profits or what.

A lot will need to change in this law for there to be a hope of success.  As it stands, a registered patient will face Felony charges if caught with any plant matter weight.  For the General Public in MN that level doesn't doesn't kick in until 42.5g+.

Here is another very interesting article:  http://www.startribune.com/politics/statelocal/261027301.html?page=all&prepage=1&c=y#continue

I'm no legal expert but the law is creating two classes of citizens since its a felony for a medical patient to transfer weed to a non medical patient. Hopefully someone sues the state on that ground and wins. Its a civil rights case of our time.

By the way after reading the bill its not as bad as I thought. It does allow cultivation in state but its limited. And of course he way to ingest is retarded but it is amendable according to the bill.

  14. The Devil is in in the details.

The two manufactures that will run the dispensaries also will grow what is agreed on in the "Rule-Making" process that is yet to come.  It could easily become a CBD only program.

So far they are estimating 5K patients, 2.5g of "oil" per patient per month, $45 per gram of this oil.  This, if my math is correct, will be a tad over $500K gross.  Tough to run two grows, eight satellite distribution centers (each employing a Pharmacist) on this gross income.

Patient's medical records will be tracked for the Study raising privacy concerns.

Possession of any Bud or leaf as a Registered, Tracked, patient is a Felony.  For the general public that felony level kicks in at 42.5g+.

Much is yet to be decided with this MN MMJ law during Rule-Making.  We can hope they work smartly I suppose but I'm feeling kind of skeptical.   We have to watch closely and speak loudly when the Commission is formed and hope they will listen.

So many have been left behind with this as it's written it's a shame.  They may be better off I suppose because the black market thrives and there are many choices and no tracking and lighter penalties.

I have a qualifying condition but wonder if my probation rules will keep me out of the program.  That's if I decide to get in once it get's fleshed out.

Yeah, never expected to have to decide to participate or not. I remember when I started on this site, I was worried if my condition would be covered. How my understanding has changed in a few years' time!

I'm getting $6.75 million in oil sales from the figures above.
    $45g x 2.5g x 12 months x 5000 patients= 6.75 million.

Let's not forget the "compassionate" $200 entry fee into the program times 5K patients either. Uggh....

  16. Your math is better than mine.  Thank you.  6.75 million is a pretty good chunk.

  17. These current medical bills are seeing the fallout of the abuse of the current systems in place like CA, WA, even CO. I truly feel bad for patients in states with non-medical or non-patient friendly laws. This is where people to stand up and vote or support bills that are truly effective. One can't hope that the government will come their senses (insert government joke here) and come up with a reasonable bill on their own without political motivations. For the people of MN, stand up for your rights and make it known that enacting a unsatisfactory medical cannabis bill will cost votes come election time, best of luck....

  18. In another MN MMJ thread, you said you have your health and that medical laws "don't do shit for me." That you just want it legal for everyone. So what are you even doing in a thread about MMJ in a state you don't live in and couldn't even be bothered to read the laws being debated? Your participation in all MN MMJ threads has been an absolute crap fest of your own ignorant creation and apathy. You couldn't even read these laws. You have nothing substantive to say about any of this. You lent your ignorant support to it all and called everyone every name in the book for telling you this was a crap law (which I see you have now, finally, said as much.) Gee, thanks for the support after the fact our prohibitionist friend. That works out pretty swell for you, doesn't it?
