So I was gonna buy a grow box but the people her on GC killed me for it so I was wondering how I can go about setting up my hydroponic grow tent. Youre giving yourself a lot to do for your first grow, you are familier with how to maintain a reservoir I hope. I didnt see an EC/ppm meter on your list, you will need one for hydro growing.

Nice choice! I love my waterfarms. I have 4 individuals and the 8 pack! The newer 8 packs come with the recirculating kit so you didn't need to buy the upgrade though!

Both my ph and ppm meters have built in thermometers so I use those. To monitor the air temp/humidity I use a dual meter bought from my local garden centre, they are meant for greenhouse's. I also have a high quality temp gun ( I breed reptiles and have to constantly monitor their exact temps) to check the accuracy of the $12 dual thermometer/hydrometer. So far it's always within 1 degree. Some suggestions for the waterfarms. Drill as many holes as possible in the top net bucket. (Brown bucket) just make sure it strings enough to hold the hydroton/plant. Adding airstones is a good idea but isn't necessary for waterfarms IMO (as long as you run the pump/drip ring 24/7) I did a 30 on 4 hour off watering sceduale my first grow. This grow (my second) I did 24/7 watering (plants started in rapid rooters) and my plants are explosive in growth! I have a thread in this section titled "First grow-my setup" it may be helpful to you. Also search "scottyballs Pineapple Express" in Google, very very informative. This guy averages 12-15 ounces off on waterfarm!!! His technique is so simple too ! I wish I saw this thread before I bought 12 waterfarms! I only use 4 after reading his thread.
