No.  It was good but it's long past it's time.  Personally I thought The Dark Knight Rises was fucking amazing. The Avengers was also great.

  3. Agreed.Nice that im not the only one that feels that way...
If I had to list out my top ones it would probably be
    1.Avengers
    2.Winter Soldier
    3.The Dark Knight
    4.Days of Future Past
    5.Amazing Spider-man 2

  4. You didn't see Rises ? That shit was amazing.  I have yet to see Winter Soldier, Days of Future Past, and Amazing spiderman 2

  5. Honestly,Im probably going to have to re-watch it.I went to the movies to see it and too me it felt rushed and at certain angles Bane looked small, and some scenes seemed un-necessary to me like the whole Gotham PD vs Banes Forces. Only thing I really enjoyed about the movie was Bane breaking Batman. But usually when I re-watch a moving I get a different opinion.

  6. Maybe I was too high and the IMAX made it look better lol.  I have only seen it once.

  7. LOL............

  8. Wintersoldier is the best so far.

Excited for the Ultron movies. They gotta introduce Ant Man soon though.

  9. I don't think any Batman deserves to be in the top 50.  It's Batman; it's too obvious what is going to happen.  It's for children.

Films by Kubrick or Lynch blow Batman out of the water because they are actually unique.

  10. Of the Christopher Nolan Batman series, my favorite actually is Batman Begins. I often don't understand the hype about the other two, as I feel they are inferior to the first of the trilogy.

The Dark Knight kicked ass, that was a great movie too. But I still like Batman Begins more.

The Dark Knight Rises sucked, my least favorite.

  11. It's definitely up there, but the good thing about these kind of movies is that they know they'll have to always outdo eachother. I mean xmen dofp was way more than I expected it to be, it gives new life to the series and avengers obviously holds the crown. DK is going to be left in the dust by the time the Dr. Strange movie comes out. Me personally though, the Nolan series is my favorite out of all the comic book film but I've always been a batman fan no matter what movie.

  12. The best Comic Book movie is still the original Superman with Christopher Reeve.  It set the standard for every other comic book movie.

Dark Knight never even came CLOSE to capturing the zeitgeist that the first Superman movie did (and you kind of have to have been alive in 1978 to understand what I'm saying).

Hell Dark Knight didn't come close to the 1989 Tim Burton Batman for sheer pop culture impact.

(and FWIW, as much as I DID like DK,  DKR is a better film all together, and the last two X-Men movies plus all the Marvel Movies (except for Iron Man 2) were better than the Nolan trilogy)

  13. Oh its for sure the best. It is so good it transcends genre. *Scratching my head at all the people who think TDKR was better*

  14. I never thought it was the best. Honestly don't even care for that Batman trilogy.

  15. What really made TDK shine was Heath's amazing acting coupled with Christopher Nolan's directing and screenplay. The dynamic between the joker and batman was captured in a way that Burton's batman was never able to show. Joker is an anarchist who is consistently trying to prove that deep down inside everybody is as crazy as him, he doesn't believe he's anymore crazy than batman. Also the comparison of Dent to batman was done for the first time here. The white knight vs the dark Knight is a consistent theme throughout the movie. Dent was somebody batman strived to be, someone who could fight crime without dressing up like a bat. This all sets up to the ending where Dent's corruption proved the Joker's point, forcing batman to maintain the image of the white knight instead of the dark knight.
Also a few other small things tied the movie together. For example Chou( I think that's how you spell it) stated earlier that the money was the only thing keeping him alive, later we see him being burned alive on top of the money subsequently dieing with it. Batman actually did break his one rule, killing dent at the end of the movie. Christopher Nolan's tendency to stay away from CGI, ie the hospital actually being blown up and the tunnel scene being almost entirely without use of CGI (models were used for the crash scene). And holy shit I'm just realizing that I'm too high to be caring about this so much, so I guess fuck it?

  16. I like The Dark Knight but the only thing I love about it is the Joker and the Bat-pod.

    My top 5 CBM:

    1) Superman The Movie (9.7)
    \n2) Blade (9.5)
    \n3) Batman 89 (9.5)
    \n4) V for Vendetta (9.2)
    \n5) The Avengers (9.2)

  17. I really hated Bane...  the way he looked, and especially sounded..  that muffled voice effect really bothers me.. it almost sounds like a commentary track or something... i dont get it.

  18.

I wouldn't even put V for Vendetta in my top 50 best comic book movies.  It was so far from the comic...and it's probably the least distilled adaptation of any Alan Moore work.

    Worse than LXG? :p

The only decent Alan Moore adaptations is Watchmen and V for Vendetta and I'd say Vendetta made a bigger impact and was the better adapted of the two.

Watchmen is considered one of the greatest graphic novels of all time but you wouldn't come to the conclusion by simply watching the movie.

Ultimately, while it's not the best executed comic book movie, V for Vendetta retains the spirit of the graphic novel and adequately conveys it's important message which earns makes it a success in my book.

  20. Personally I think either Dark Knight, Winter Soldierand Dredd are the best. First Class and Days of Future Past are pretty high up on my list.
