What Are Some Techniques To Guessing Weight Of Weed Without Scales?

    Hello friends. 
     
    Before we begin, I already know there is no real way to accurately know the weight of a batch without scales. I fully intend to use scales, but at this current time I don't have access to such a device. So what is some techniques you use to guesstimate the amount you've bought? Do you just kind of eye ball it up? Use a coin to somehow compare the size to something consistent? Although that doesn't give weight.

    You have to have a feel for how dense it is and just imagine what a gram would look like

    all you can do is squeeze it (to see how dense it is) and eye it out. some bud is so dense that it looks half its amount by size so you have to squeeze it to see how compact it is. with experience you get better and better at guestimating.

    With bud, it's really difficult to eyeball it. There's different densities, water weight, etc. Usually after picking up enough you get a feel for it but if you're relatively new to it, it's impossible.

    My advise just continue to get ripped off and when you grow a bit older and are thinking more clearly, BUY A SCALE!

    Got hold of scale from a friend today. Was all good. :)

    be around pounds of weed and live amongst the buds. Quickly you will be able to scale out sacks by using yours eyes and fingers to judge density.

    I'm surprised no one's said this, but pennies(2.5 grams) and nickels (5 grams) are usually best to compare a bag to imho, switch hands back and forth between the herb and change to get a consistent feel.

    tbh OP... a scale is $10 on Amazon. Cut out half a gram and make sure you aren't getting fucked.

    I live in the UK and I'm finding scales at about £13 which is $21 excluding delivery.
