  1. Its funny your SAGE is a runt. I have gotten 3 freebies from attitude THSeeds genetics. All sucked all runts I will not be buying any TH gear. Grow is looking good man keep it up.

  2. Thank you sir.

BUT...the SAGE is a little warrior. It is literally an orphan plant, that was given very little chance to meet any form of potential. Its a bad example, and after all things considered may give the sage some extra resilience points in its favor.

    SAGE story:
Originally had 5 seeds sprouted. Chemdog fem, HGK fem, Cheese fem, 2x S.A.G.E. regular seeds. For security reasons, just decided to keep 2 plants. Chemdog didnt do well in the FFOF and just didnt grow fast or strong. offed it after awhile in starter pot. both SAGE were actually looking good. Decided to off due to them being freebies and regular/non feminized seeds.

Ended up leaving one to dry out (forgot about it, im not a monster leaving it to die a slow death lol) and the second i took out of the starter pot....and LITERALLY tossed it into rosebushes. These rosebushes are under an awning/overhang and dont get much light, and it landed/settled under a lot of growth. The plant didnt die, and didnt grow very much...but it stayed alive. About 3-4 weeks before flowering I decided to take it out from under and pot it. put it in a smaller airpot, and this is where its at now. i consider anything i get from it to be a "freeroll" since it got no care until about a month or so ago.

We shall see how far this one goes.....stay tuned!lol

  3. My Holy Grail Kush is being eaten alive by caterpillars. Ive killed 3 so far.

I hope thats all of them, but I have a feeling there is at least one more! Theyre so hard to spot, even with a flashlight in the middle of the day with the sun above your head. Theyre the exact same bright green as the buds/budsites that they are eating!

Ive chopped about 4 cola tops, more like peeled off since the caterpillars ate through them. Some spots began to rot/mold or whatever am just picking those off.

I never thought caterpillars would be an issue in a desert climate like i live in. Thanks to mother nature tho, this is the first year in my entire life (28yrs) my city has had a rainy season for 3 months. I have a feeling the rain attracted these bastards. Ive run a small outdoor grow before...and although it wasnt anything to brag about I NEVER had a single pest problem. I think the rain fucked me in the ass.

Im saving all the nasty bud thats been cut/picked off the plant. Planning on just running it in a quick iso wash.

Im so sad. I think I need to move indoors.

With that said, ive learned a lot this season. Biggest lesson.....dont start vegging so early if you are using (relatively) small pots. hate being a noob, and learning on the fly as shit is going down. Than it sucks too when no one replies to my threads in the absolute beginners forum pleading for help.

Oh, well. I just want october to come so i can chop and see what i will end up being able to salvage.

  4. So, I was actually feeling OK after posting last night since I had killed 3 of those caterpillars.

Well I also clipped a branch since it was almost fully snapped off....trimmed it and have left it hanging overnight. I go in to admire and smell a bit....and what do I see? ANOTHER TINY ASS GREEN CATERPILLAR!

FML, I have a feeling its way worse than I had been hoping. I actually thought I may have taken care of the issue killing 3 of them, I mean how many can be in there? FML! Looks like Ill be buying for another year....

the cheese isnt fat but hopefully get a couple ounce out of it at least...so theres that positive, and the sage will prolly do another ounce. Such a small harvest sucks since I been doing this since march. Oh well.

We shall see, I hope im doomsdaying and overestimating how bad its gonna be

  5. That's why is spray with spinosad or BT. They can destroy your whole crop if not taken care of.

  6. yea....i think its bordering on getting there!

i think i only have 2 weeks left before chop time, guessing its too late to use the spinosad?

    So....so, sad. Seriously.

  7. You can still use BT and spinosad up to two days prior to harvest. The sun breaks it down.

  8. whats BT?

I hope they have spinosad at home depot or lowes?

    So.....no luck at Lowe's.

Tracked one down at ONE nursery in town! Does it have to be ONLY spinosad, or as long as its an ingredient.

Dont even care if its the safest route anymore....cuz at this rate, the plant will be done/eaten in 1-2 weeks....right at harvest!lol fml

    LATER IN THE DAY EDIT:
@[member="Kronicly Insane"] I just bought this fertilome spinosad. Hoping it works...

  10. If it has spinosad it should work just fine. Safer make BT and is sometimes labels as caterpillar killer. It comes in a green bottle. I would spray the plants with a day or two between treatment. Once you've sprayed they should start dying but you will need to treat plants up to a few days prior to harvest.

  11. @[member="Kronicly Insane"] Just sprayed the Holy Grail Kush thats having the problems. Even if it doesnt work, that spray down session was cathartic...feel like at least im trying :/

Now...hopefully you can point me in the right direction. I dont think I have caterpillars on the other 2 plants...but I just saw small black dots on the sage, and small spot of budrot by the dots. I dont think they were living, they kinda looked like tiny poop pellets, but im not sure! i hate being a noob...but i figure everyone is somewhat a noob until they face the problems themself. Hoping to just make this a big learning experience.

Ill post pics tomorrow....not looking forward to it! The HGK thats caterpillar'ed up was soooooo beautiful at one point! FML

  12. well it didnt look worse today....and thats positive!lol

    keep you posted tomorrow

SO....first set of pics are gonna be the Caterpillar'd Holy Grail Kush. Again, as has usually been the case....the pics look a lot better than it looks in person.

now i have more problems tho....im just getting dry/dead spots on my plants. I dont think theyre molded...hope not cuz i just lit a bit of it up!lol Its on the Cheese and the SAGE. Im so sad how south this has gone....

with that said, i just lit up some of the dead/dried sage i just plucked of the plant. It wasnt a clean burn....but i took 3 hits and I am LIFTED! I feel great right now....really up and BLITZED! Im so used to getting indica's out where im at this feels awesome! not even sure if SAGE is supposed to have an uplifting high, but at this point in the grow im lifted, and very head-changed! Even tasted decent-good on the first hit!

SO HAPPY AND SAD at the same time!LOL thinking of the potential is the sadness!hahaha Oh well, ive just come to the realization that I have 3 HASH plants. Ill prolly just run them in iso for Hash to not risk directly smoking the potentially bad/molded/bugged/allkindsofcrapthatitcanbe!

    Couldnt edit in pics earlier...

1-9: Holy Grail Kush with Caterpillars--its looked like this since the day I used the spinosad, so I guess thats a good sign spinosad working?

10-13: Cheese, def not the fat bastard it should be according to what ive read of it. you can see some of those dead spots in the last few pics and where i picked off the dried bud.

14-17: SAGE, that im finding those dead/dry spots too. def not the fatty nugs youd expect to see at this point in the grow....so shitty overall on all 3 plants imo.

  14. ruined by caterpillars.

applied spinosad for a week and a half and it didnt seem to fully take.

Ended up harvesting disgustingly eaten up buds....harvested just over 2 grams of of quick wash iso from 2 of the 3 plants. 3rd was too nasty to do anything too.

2 grams of quick wash iso for all that work i started in March. FML.

May do indoor in a year or so. Still planting new beans IN APRIL! not march this time. Hope to have better luck next season.

Thank you all who commented and read my journal. Wish I had better results and some nug porn pic for you all.
