Anyone Else Use Edibles Instead Of Smoking?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by FacktoidTrappa, May 18, 2014.

  1. I've been taking one weed peanut butter cup i get from my dispensary every day for the past week instead of smoking and its been incredible! In the past i would smoke or vape every day and the high was decent but it also made me feel paranoid and anxious and the next day always felt sluggish which definitely kept me from fully enjoying the experience. I thought maybe weed just wasnt for me anymore but then i tried this peanut butter cup edible and all the side effects are gone! I usually take it around 6pm and start getting high at 7pm through the rest of night. Im so happy ive found a way to experiance weed without all the paranoia and anxiety i used to get=)

Anyone else take edibles instead of smoking?

  2. I use in combo with smoking, often have some cookies on hand, and recently made fist batch of oil for capsules, which ended up working out way!!!! better then I expected.  Would like to switch to edibles for the long haul but, I like smoking, and glass, so I will be toking for a while.

  3. I've only eaten the once, on my 18th birthday, brownies. I live in a share house right now so not ideal to bake but I'm so keen to give it a try when I'm in my own place. Perhaps a silly question, but do people find it changes the potentials for munchies?

  4. I like Sativa Cheeba Chews and once bought some hard candy that was good. I'd like to make candy, but so far whenever I've tried, it never makes me high, only tired. Suggestions?

  5. I use cannabis paste, I take a small amount twice a day and find it works really well. Since it is made with a vegetable glycerin it is slightly sweet and easy to digest. Since it is made without having to heat it to a high temperature it maintains all the benefits of the cannabinoids necessary to aid in the treatment of
my arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome. I was even able to find a recipe on youtube (Making Cannabis
Paste) which allows me to make it myself at home.

  6. Mark Turner, is cannabis paste easy to find online or do you recommend any particular brands? I also need as much cannabinoids in my product as well to help my medical condition in spinal cord. (Already know the weed helps but would prefer to ultimately get something I would like & could use that's not going to make me reek of weed.)

  7. I smoke while I wait for edibles to kick in :p

  8. I grow for my mom and she prefers edibles over smoking. It's unbelievable how many varieties there are out there! You can put marijuana in just about anything.

  9. Cheeba Chews THC mix for pain. How long does it take? Like do I use 1/4 every hour around the clock?

  10. Lol this.

Most edibles don't wreck me so i usually smoke in the mean time. I get impatient waiting for it to kick in.

Do to ease i prefer to smoke. Joints are my all time favorite; love pinners.

Really depends upon your tolerance. A whole Cheba Chew (quad dose) sets in after about 45 minutes and lasts about 4-5 hours.

  12. Thanks for your response. Tried 1/7th cheeba chew and waited an hour, did this 3 times beween 8pm and 1 am. Nothing. Decided maybe food would help. Had 1 cup fresh fruit salad and halucinated till 9 a.m. So thats how tolerant i am. No pain relief in the slightest. Going by this, any suggestions on getting some pain relief? Smoking is not an option.

That's too bad that it had such a strong effect, but no pain relief. There are different types of Cheeba Chews. Perhaps some are better than others for pain. Maybe try some oil? I'd keep trying different forms of edibles because you should be able to find pain relief!

  14. Will try a vape pen with indica because sleep evades me most nights and thats when pain is worse. Opiates do nothing except fry my brain so I must continue with MMJ experimentation. I will appreciate any hints anyone cares to offer.

  15. http://www.newcure.org/news/99-how-to-make-cannabis-paste
Full instructions and explanaion as to why cannabis paste is superior to cannabis oil.
Basically, you gind up some really dry weed, mix in some glycerin, put it in a Mason jar and "cook" it over very low temp for 10.5 hours
