I've been reading a lot lately about the benefits of adding molasses to your feeding in the late flowering stages. More specifically, adding a carbohydrate in order to increase plant sugar production. I've only seen a handfull of topics about people adding molasses into a hydropnic system. While I guess you could add it in depending on the type of system, I think in the long run it would be more of a mess then anything. Recently I ran across Botanicare Sweet, artifcial carbohydrate sweetner, designed for hydroponic applications. Does anyone have any experience with Botanicare Sweet, FloraNectar Sweetener, or Advanced Nutrients Carbo Load? See Link http://www.planetnatural.com/product-category/growing-indoors/plant-nutrients/sweeteners-carbohydrates/
I use both flora nectar & bud candy as carbs and using the bud candy during flowering weeks 1-6 and only use the flora nectar 4-5 days on my ebb table Bacteria build up is not good for hydro. if you do a search on molasses you will see it's not used in hydro because it feeds bacteria in the res. I only use the flora nectar & the water for 4-5 days because it really starts to stink & grow unwanted bacteria past the 5th day & sweetener alone can attract ants & bugs as it's just sugar water Holyreefer
Have you noticed any increase? Have you grown without carb additive? Sent from my C6606 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I have tested & noticed the difference the carbo for sure help pack on more weight & you get stickier buds. Run 2-1 without & the other with. You can see the difference. Holyreefer
Good pointers with the bacteria growth and smell. Sent from my C6606 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I can say this...when I run nothing but the sweetner my girls get LOUD smelling wise. Not sure why but boy do they... Holyreefer
You mentioned you use bud candy for 1-6 weeks. Do you still only use in 4 day intervals or does that only apply to the floranectar? Sent from my C6606 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Sorry about the delay in response I only use the flora nectar for 4 days as my res starts to really stink up after the 4th day
