First Socal Medical Grow, First Od, And First Organic In Beautiful Socal

  1. Tracked down more smarties and soil. The hydro shop I went to hooked it up with a sample bag of the soil I am using. So was able to get a 2 for 1 deal. Picked up some bamboo sticks that I'll be using for the scrog.

I was able to transplant the last clone that needed to go into the 5 gal. Along with the 4 that needed to go into the 3 gal to serve as my mothers.

The SLH and Cheese are doing good. Fed them a slightly richer P and K today. Also used fish fert for some N.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403233055.508961.jpg
The cheese is in the bottom right, to it's left is the SLH, upper right is the Kush. Fed the Kush and WH with some calmag.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403233185.184859.jpg

Took some cuttings today after I made a starter mix consisting of vermiculite and EWC with some peat moss. And there them in there to see how well it works. The square pot is sitting in a solo cup filled with water. Sitting on the window sill, still looking good.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403233526.481876.jpg

Will hit them with neem tomorrow morning. Cut up the bamboo to make the scrogs and set em up on the SLH and the Cheese.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403233365.467071.jpg

Was able to transplant my other plants too. Productive late afternoon but better late than never. Just need to get red worms to start my own vermicomposting
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403233674.229034.jpg

Now ima do a dab, relax, do some yoga and hit the sack. Peace

  2. lookin good Sprk..what kind of wtr you using? r/o or tap?

  3. Thanks doc. Right now I'm using tap that's distilled for 24-36 hrs. I'm waiting til I visit my uncle in AZ to grab an r/o system that he isn't isn't anymore. I figured I can put it to good use seeing that apparently Oceanside tap water is pretty high in chloramine.

  4. Was able to get a decent amount of work done today. Built 2 scrogs for the SLH and the Cheese.

I was able to get all the plants I trained with the bamboo sticks to branch out really well. I will be lollipop'n all three gals as I go along while the main shoots establish.

The clones are looking better. I will be watering them in a bit with plain water. The GDP looks like it might have a deficiency but I'll leave em alone since they just TP'd (it's hard to see in the pic) and should fix itself...

Wonder Haze doing great after attempted FIM two days ago. Never always sure if I get it right til I see the growth.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403316153.496747.jpg

Just cause I thought it'd look dope I'm doing a twisted bonsai clone cutting using two cuttings from the kush. Still not sure if it's male or female. Hoping to root the other cutting and force flower to show sex. Will do the same to the Wonder Haze in the near future...

  7. Just so you know, neem is "photo-something or another" and it needs to be mixed and immediately used.  Light deactivates it, so you need to spray at sundown or night for maximum effect and potency.  :)

You also need to use silica/ protek and a touch of regular dishsoap.

Mix the neem and protek together to make an emulsion, pour in spray bottle, fill 1/2 way with slightly warm water, and a few drops of soap.

Shake to mix, then add warm water until full, and spray right away.

Gotcha. Didn't know about protek. Thanks for the tip. It's been stores inside my dark cabinet indoors. I'll check it out tomorrow. There wasn't anything on the bottle which sucks. But i sprayed when there wasn't any direct light so I'm hoping it'll be good. I'll mix a smaller batch next time.

Thanks for the tip BNW. Definitely going to be grabbing those things your suggesting. Haha definitely don't want to be losing anything, for anything reason. And yes, I meant the other, that's exactly what MrSilly showed me, green cure.

So I should not be storing any of these mixtures long term? Just seems weird cause their is nothing in the directions that says otherwise. Thanks again.

  13. Things have been a little crazy. My Marine brother is finally on his way home so he can recover and be with his family. It was a damn good morning waking up to get that news. At least one good thing came out of such a tragic event. OOhRah Devils, RIP guarding heaven's gates. 2D CEB

Now on to my ladies. I watered them again this morning. The clones just a little as the soil still seemed moist. They haven't shown any over water stress so figured keeping the soil as moist as possible is ok cause of the smarties. CalMag all around.

The clones are really taking off, with only the GDPs dragging with the reveg.

    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403794484.595015.jpg

The ladies I chose to be the mothers seem to be the healthiest with the best growth. Keeping my fingers crossed for the GDP. On a good note, the clone I chose to be the mother looks healthy.

The Wonder Haze is looking good as well. At first I tried to super crop. But I snapped the stem twice maybe three times and the sucker just kept fixing itself over night. So finally tied her down. I topped or FIMd the two bottom shoots to help them branch out more, haha I'm never really sure.

Seriously the weirdest thing I ever saw, showed no signs of stress whatsoever.

The Cheese is doing well and filling up the screen nicely. She's going into the second week of flowering now. Should do really well.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403795194.110870.jpg

The SLH, which is really leaning towards an indica is also doing well. I doubt she'll actually be able to fill up the screen like the cheese but I guess we'll see.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403796139.041703.jpg

The kush is branching out and filling in the center nicely. I figured I'll do some topping to help fill the center a bit more.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1403796550.409118.jpg

I'm really thinking about making a greenhouse now. It'll be so much easier to cover up and keep the plants in a dark period. I'm not sure if me adding the extra light til 11 is making a difference for the Cheese and SLH cause they still seem to be continuing to flower. They started to flower even with the extended photoperiod so who knows. Everything seems good tho, but can't get that green house idea out of my head. Haha off to Lowes I go, I'll have a great project for the weekend.

  14. yeah use sprays asap when you mix them not good to leave them sit.

  15. I try and just mix what I need for that mornings spray.. I've gotten good at judging how much to mix now.. Any thing left over I hit something else in the yard as It's all good.. Then refill the sprayer with water.. Pump a bit of pressure up.. Run some water through the wand.. Then invert the sprayer and open the wand till it blows air.. Open and dump rinse water..
Any mixed solutions should be used completely and the equipment cleaned up each time for best results..

  16. Going to be picking up some sprayers this coming 4th of July. Got a 25% off coupon for Harbor Freight. Cant beat having savings at about 12/e that's 6 bucks off right there!

Anyways trimmed the two flowering ladies today. Looking a lot better w/ light penetration to the lower canopy. The SLH is showing some crazy tight node spacing, ended up taking the scrog off of it and going to let it get some vertical growth in. Going to give them some sugar water along with some p and k tomorrow to help with the stress.

All the clones are looking good except for the GDP. The mother GDP is looking healthy enough, the one I chose to flower out seems to have slowed new growth. Thought it was going for a sec now I'm unsure. It ain't dead yet so ima keep an eye on em.

Plants are looking good. Not bad for an ex-Marine. Keep doing what you gave and learn as much as possible about growing. I suggest purchasing a grow bible or two along with watching YouTube videos and following other grow journals. Knowledge is the key to growing great cannabis followed by experience. By following other grows you can learn from their success and failures. The more you learn the better your plants will get. As for books I re read mine every winter/spring to touch up on things and refresh my memory. It's amazing waft you learn after rereading books for a bunch of times. They come in handy for referencing during the season too. I recommend authors Ed Rothensal who wrote the book used as the course guide at Oaksterdam and Jorge Cervantes who writes for High times. Both are expert growers and will give you different views and techniques in growing cannabis. Keep up the good work. Go Army.

Hoooaaah!! Thanks for the tip kron. I've perused said bibles and still do go back. Putting in an order for the TLO book soon. A lot of the times questions are brought up to get 2nd opinions and advice. Definitely agree with you knowledge is important followed by experience, wise words bro. Feel free to stop by any time and pull a chair. I'd appreciate any advice or tips you might have that I'm not aware of, first ride with OD. Had a few grows with soil indoors. But nothing to the extent of the op I'm doing now. Learning curves are a definite, if I'm not learning then I'm doing something wrong, cause ya know how we do, always down to adapt and overcome right? Thanks again brother, EehRah soldier, Rangers Lead The Way, Hooaah!! 😁

Super cropped- black berry kush, black diamond, herijuana and the GDP.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1405815212.242970.jpg

Also super cropped the mothers. Did that to start the bonsai training and to keep them low. . Will split into two main branches with each breaking up into two, with one having 2+ more branches. Keeping these ladies long term.

Wonder Haze under some LST training.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1405815484.616062.jpg

Got two cuts of the Wonder Haze, one I'm throwing into flower, the other I'm keeping as a clone in case it's a female or a keeper male. Trying to save the genetics, the smell this puts out is amazing. Close to the smell of the Herijuana. Strong side branching, pretty nute heavy, this will be a beast if i let it grow in ground and top a few times and super cropped. Got a cutting of the CK also. Basically only two I'll be trying to save and make mothers to add to my mother collection. These will be great to breed with later on.
    L.WH. C.CK. R.WH.
    ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1405817901.096252.jpg

Pinched and super cropped any branch that was too tall, especially in the 4 I got from late including the mothers. Watered and fed with some kelp meal that I threw up in the sprayer. That's the makeshift hose I'm using. Works perfectly well and allows me to drench the soil properly. Ladies looking proper. Moved the vegetable buckets to the other end. Using it to break up and cover the balcony from view. Going to spray spinosad w/ some kelp later when I get home. Maybe add a 1/6th strength of some morbloom. Peace.
