First Organic Outdoor Grow

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by Zammski, May 10, 2014.

  1. Hello all! I'm somewhat new to the whole growing community. I have read alot about it, but this is my first grow and would like to have people who are expierneced help me along the way. My buddy bought some seeds online, and gave me 2 of them in which I thought I would give growing a chance.

    Seeds: KC45

Soil is from my backyard, I understand I should buy soil I just havnt had enough time as of yet.

Fan is blowing on them consistently, and they receive about 6-8 hours of sunlight a day.

I water them once a day, this is because until their strong enough they are growing from my windowsill.

I plan on guerilla growing when they seem strong enough to with stand themselves, also plan on giving them nutrients then too.

I would just like to know if there is anything I should be doing different that could improve the yield in the long run. I plan on keeping this topic as my journal and updating it every week or so! Thanks!

  2. This is how they look after about 3 days of germination and about 4 days being in the solo cups. How do you guys think my babies are doing?

  5. Woops* Thanks for the reply! What kind of potting mix do you suggest to use? Also what kind of nutrients do you think I should be giving them?

  6. No nutes for the first month.

Any cheap mix with a little added perlite will be fine.

get some more light on them too. a compact florescent on them 24 hours a day will get them short and bushy plus get them growing faster.

  7. Alright, and ok sounds good. For the light situation, if I wanna plant them outside what size do you think they should be before I do so?

  8.
I would plant them outside now if all danger of frost has passed.

  9. Well I would like to grow them until they are stong enough to support themselves, because I cannot plant in my yard I have a "secret" location. So I do not want insects, and elements ruining these little guys. But yes all frost has passed, so I see what you mean.
Also when I plant them outside how often should i be checking on them and feeding them nutes and such?

  10. they look like they are stretching for light. you also shouldnt have two plants in one cup. going to make it difficult to transplant them

  11. Ok thanks Compton. how do you suggest I fix this problem? Snoop said to just put a bulb over them, this would fix that correct? And yea I know, should I transplant them asap, or just wait until their a bit stronger?

  12. Transplant them soon carefully. The bigger they get, the Bigger the roots.they will tangle.

And yes, listen to snoop. The dude knows what he's talking about.

  13. Quick question to anyone, my plants look like they are reaching for light, but in the description for the strain KC-45 it says that they grow to be 7 foot christmas trees. Could this be part of the reason why my plants look like they are pretty tall for such a young stage?

  14. Theyre tall because they are stretching for light you need the light as close to them as possible. And as for waiting until theyre strong to transplant, animals will fuck up your plants no matter how big they are you need chicken or bird netting or something to protect them.

  15. so if I put a light over my plants, does this mean I dont need them to be in sunlight? Eventually when they are big enough I would like to move them to an outsode location

  16. Yes but sunlight is better

  17. ok so it would be alright to leave them for a few days for 24 hours under a light, then move them to the windowsill for a couple more days to adjust to the sunlight again, and then move em outside?
