Got Diagnosed With Adhd-I At Pediatrician, But Random Drug Test...

    So basically I went to my pediatrician and she diagnosed me with adhd-i and prescribed me stratera. She asked me if I did any drugs at college and obviously I said no. Then she had me take a drug test... So I forced out some piss and filled like half the cup with tap water. I am 5'11" and weigh 125 pounds, so basically I'm a skeleton. I've only vaped twice in the past 2 weeks but I vaped pretty much every day for the month before that. The thing is I've only vaped in total about an 8th- a Q in that month. How screwed am I? Also I don't know if she is going to send out to a lab to be tested or if she just did it in the office. She said it was to give my mom piece of mind. I'm not sure if she would send it to a lab if she just decided to do it that day since it seems kind of excessive. And I don't what to lose my prescription for stratera. What do you guys think?

    You are pretty screwed if you filled half of it with cold tap water..doing that would instantly bring the temperature down and cause a failed test.
     
    Also - you mentioned it was to give your mom peace of mind, which means you are not 18 (legal adult age)

    Actually I'm 19. And the temp doesn't matter, the cup was a regular paper cup, no temp sensors. I made sure of that before putting the water in. She also told me to leave the cup on a table and it was sitting there when I left, so she clearly isnt worried about me cheating. The temp would have gone down by its own. I'm not a complete idiot. I would have brought my friends clean piss had I known I was going to have to take it.I just am wondering if diluting it half way could be enough based on my weight. Also I have about 4% body fat.

    Why not just be honest with mom and the doctor? You are 19 now and big boys get to decide what they put into their bodies.

    I wish I could be, but if I came clean my father would rip my head off. The least he would do is beat me into a coma. There is also a 100% chance I would be kicked out of my house. Also I dont want to risk losing my new prescription. My dad is a special ed teacher, so he deals with bad potheads all day. And I have multiple cousins who threw their lives away and just smoke all day. There's no convincing my parents it's OK. Oh and my dad basically praises Reagan and his drug policies as much as he praises the catholic church.

    pediatrician is a child's doctor...and adults are not forced to take a drug test by a pediatrician...ahhh, mommy took you to the pediatrician and had you tested for drugs...so..you are a minor.

    oh really? A pediatrician is a child's doctor? Huh, I never knew that!?!! This guy must be a genius! The power of deduction is strong with this one!
    I'm 19 I have no reason to lie about my age. She is a pediatrician but she is the most qualified at the office my insurance covers to diagnose add/ADHD. I didn't go to get drug tested, she decided to do it before prescribing me strattera. I could have said no, but then she would not have taken me seriously when talking about an ADHD diagnoses.

    Special ed doesn't mean kids who are mentally retarded. He teaches the kids who should be kicked out of school. The drug addicts and extreme ADHD. Most of his students end up in his class after being caught with drugs in school.

    I'm 19. Him beating the shit out of me would not be child abuse, it would be assault. And most of the kids he teaches are actually abused by their parents and they turn to drugs. I could think of a couple condescending wonka memes to describe you lmao.
    I don't understand why people like this guy think they are so smart...

    Dude you wouldn't be drug tested unless your a child. My psychiatrist knows I blow and have never had a problem with my meds.

    ^Dude, I'm 21, and I'm covered under my parents insurance. Many people are until 25. Give it a fucking rest. I went to a pediatrician till I was 19 too, it happens. People keep with the same doctors.
     
    But your age does garner the question of why didn't you just say no OP?
