Paganism/witch

  1. Going through the religious section and found some interesting posts but nothing that quite matched me so figured I'd check to see if there's any others out there. Not new age game playing actually seriously a practicing WICCAN. Saw a post about being empathetic kinda get that inherited that from mom (she was a witch too.) Empathetic stuff can be a bitch if you can't control it for whatever reason had experiences there. Anyway just thought I'd run my mouth. Blessings All.

  6. im one of those ~new age game playing~ practicing pagans. but im a sensitive, my mom really enjoys taking me on her paranormal/ghost hunting trips bc i can feel shit and its weird as fuck and sounds a lil crazy trust me i know. but its definitely a real feeling and why i decided to look into paganism a lil further.

my great grandmother was also a witch. she cursed someone for stealing one of her horses, which made horse hair grow out of their bellybutton. im not that strong... or destructive. i focus on feeling and healing. crystals are hella. herbs are nice too.

just bc im new age doesnt mean i dont respect the practices of old, nor that i am unwilling to learn. and y'all old wiccans/pagans need to stop being passive aggressive bout this shit and maybe try to teach us a little about OUR history so we arent confused as fuck about everything we are discovering.

  7. what does one do with the herbs?

  8. I'm actually a level 99 Paladin from Azarath. So you could say I know my way around some bullshit.

well im a nursing major currently, but one of the things i really love is using more natural remedies instead of medication bc its less harmful to our bodies. eventually i want to study herbal medicines and/or botany and then combine that with my study in the medical field (or continue to build upon it idk.) for example, st johns wort is helpful for treating milder forms of depression. there's a plant nicknamed asthma weed that treats exactly what you think. also, weed in this sense = an invasive plant, not what im currently smoking. :bongin:

then there's wordwood which you can smoke for nicotine cravings, also a decent cold remedy, headaches, helps boost ur immune system, makes digestion easier. it's very bitter tho (like one of the most bitter things known to man.) if ur pregnant or bleed easy dont use wormwood, but this goes with most things tbh, esp if you arent 100% sure of the effects.

idk, there's a shit ton of plants that do a shit ton of things, lol. o you can also brew wormwood into a tea. idk how srs you were with this post tho, sry. if u want to know something specific i can try to find an answer~

  10. im very familiar with most or all the plants youre using,i was just wondering in what capacity they normally get used.

i was thinking more along the lines of ritual uses though like idk, potions? incense for various purposes? things like that

  11. i dont use many plants ritually tbh. i burn sage after getting back from any trip w/ my mom in which we dealt with the paranormal. i get high and meditate a lot. i feel im more open spiritually when im high and its just a better connection?? i guess, idk how to put it into words where it's not ~getting high as an excuse~ so i usually dont bother, lol. my altar has a lot of plants/terrariums on it, which are semi ritualistic, bc its apart of my altar, but they themselves arent used specifically in anything.

a lot of it has to do with not knowing about plants and how they can be used ritually. my approach to plants is obviously very medical, so its just a different approach i guess idk //:

  12. I am a practicing Hellenist, which is a modern revitalizing version of the cults of the ancient Greeks gods and rituals.

  15. I think paganism is so cool. I want to go to 700 A.D and see what Britons were like back then. And meet a Druid.

  16. and maybe watch the Romans have skirmishes with them. yea, i want to see that.

  17. Pisses me off how much knowledge was lost in the past due to religion, ignorance and fear. Think of all the bloodlines were lost because people were burned alive for having uncommon knowledge/different beliefs. Almost as much as it pisses me off that nowadays anything that doesnt conform to 'popular belief' (what we are brainwashed to believe) is hidden away or ridiculed.
