Grand Daddy Purp Seeds

Discussion in 'Marijuana Seeds Banks' started by Vegi, May 8, 2014.

  1. Hey guys,

Does anyone know if there is a shortage of Grand Daddy Purp seeds?

I've looked at all the major retailers for UK based (Attitude, Gorilla etc.) and they have all been out of stock for Grand Daddy Purp for a while.

Are these seeds which are just no longer available or is it just a shortage at the moment because of popularity?

    Peace,

    Vegi

  2. Grand Daddy Purps is one of my favourite brands.

A lot of the American breeders tend to release new batches of seeds every few months - some are as few as once or twice a year.
Archive Seeds, for one, sells out very quickly - sometimes the more popular strains are gone from every seed bank on the net within days.

I don't have any inside information about when they'll release the next ones but I'm sure they'll all be back.

Which strain were you looking for?
I would ask them for you, but we never get any response from them other than seeds are ready to ship out to you - their website looks dead & emails go unanswered.

  3. Whoa, thanks Gorilla, great feedback.

I'm after the original purp seeds.

  4. Headstash seeds has GDP seed promotion right now.  Get 6 Free GDP seeds with every order.

  5. I've heard those are generic GDP seeds.  They may work just as well, but they may not.

  6. You would be lucky to get GDP seeds off herbies or attitude..I actually have both of them set on notify me by email when GDP is in stock, and they haven't in a few months.

I would wait for the real, branded GDP if you can - the Ken Estes Original Grand Daddy Purp brand.

I haven't had GDP - but I'm halfway with their OG Kush & Bay 11 right now.
Amazing genetics - I'm not allowed to talk about it here as a rep for the company, but you guys know what I'm saying.

The GDP sells out faster than their other strains - but the good thing is that you know they're going to be nice & fresh.

Add in the fact that I know people who've met Ken Estes & say he's a good guy & they always have my recommendation - even if they won't answer my emails.

  8. I will be doing a headstash seeds GDP journal shortly I guess the only way to find out is let it grow

All my posts are false as Marijuana isn't medically legal in my state all pictures were taken off the Internet by others

  9. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I'm after the original branded GDP seeds; seems like they're really popular.

Damn, looks I'm gonna have to wait then.

  10. how are the GDP strains from marijuana-seeds.nl ?

  11. I'm hearing that Grand Daddy Purps will be offering some specials through some of the seed banks in June.

To me, that would mean they're getting ready to ship out new stock.

Anyone who's looking for a specific strain should start looking in a few weeks to see if it's available.

  12. Thank you @[member="Gorillaseedbank"]

  13. Bump

Still no one stocking the genuine original seeds?

Damn, there must be a serious shortage

I don't know if there's a shortage. There may only be one or two companies they have selling their genetics. We don't know how big of an operation they're working with atm

  15. I have it from a reliable source that there's been a problem at GDP - not with the seeds themselves, but more of a personal dispute.

I'm not sure we'll see any new batches of existing strains - or any new mixes - for a few months at least, maybe not for a year.

  16. Oh no......

Whats another good purple/fruity strain then?

    Similar properties to GDP.

  18. I don't feel right posting it publicly, but if anyone has been waiting & waiting for anything from the GDP line to come back in stock, they can PM me & I'll share what I feel is accurate info just so you have a better idea what to expect.
