    Greetings Grasscity!
For quite some time I have used grasscity as a resource from a distance . Always been a lil hesitant to start a journal/thread but this next Grow/Endeavor needs  all of your assistance & expertise. Time is limited and the time is now! I have some serious questions regarding:
    \n1. Soil Recipe's 2. Spacing/ Plant Count(container size)  3. Strain Preference
\nMy first concern is regarding a Soil Recipe I was given from a "EXPERT" out of Nor-Cal whose theory is to create a "Exchangable Nutrient Blend" rather than a "Ready Soluble Blend". My goal for the soil is to JUST ADD WATER!!I From beginning to end with a compost  tea twice a month. I am planning on ordering a minimum of 4000 gallons so it's imperative I nail this!  I have a great resource that has a huge menu of ingredients to use. I am concerned my current soilrecipe isn't utilizing all that's available to me. Here it is, these ratio's are for a 5 cubic yard blend( approximatley1,000 gallons)
    \nAzomite Micronized              20lbs                                                  0.30%
    Boron 10%                           11lbs                                                  0.16%
    Dairy Doo 1-1-1                     6000lbs   n60 p60 k60                       89.82%
    Fish (10lbs/gallon)                 10lbs                                                   0.15%
    2-3-1 Garden Mineral Magic 10lbs                                                  0.15%
    Greensand 7%Potash           50lbs                     k1                         0.75%
    Healthy Garden                     25lbs      n2   p2    k1                         0.37%
    Humates                                50lbs                                                  0.75%
    Kelp Meal                              10lbs                                                  0.15%
    Parmagnetic Rock                4lbs                                                    0.06%
    Perlite Coarse                       34lbs                                                  0.51%
    Spaghnum Peat                    356lbs                                                 5.33%
    Worm Castings 1-0-0           100lbs    n1                                         1.50%
    ***crab Meal(adding)             10 lbs per 5 yards
***adding at least 100lbs more of worm castings per 5 yards
*** Healthy Garden- is an all natural digestible nutrient fertilizer 7-6-5-5% CA
*** Garden Mineral Magic- A mix of minerals that is sure to give your garden a boost of the micronutrients to make your plants stronger and more lush
    \n????CONCERNS????
    1.  No guano used at all  I was told that the guano conflicts with the biology of the worm castings?
    2.  0.51%Perlite "Perlite has never helped a plant grow" But what about my drainage?
    3.  89% Dairy Doo is that too strong?
    4.  No Gypsum?
    5.  Add Micronized fungi?
    6. Think this can make it thru summer with just water and tea(made from this soil mix) twice a month?(What can I yield?)
    7. No Blood Meal or Bone Meal?
    8.  wanted but dnt have access to aplapha meal
    \n????What Ya'll think????
\n\n2.  SPACING/PLANT COUNT/CONTAINER SIZE - Because of where I live a LEGAL outdoor grow must be in an enclosed locked facility.
\n I am building a 48x48 structure using dog ear fence paneling.
10 Feet High with Chicken wire or bird netting as the roof. (Input Welcomed)
I want to fit 45 -50 plants using a collection of  65gallon smart pots/100 gallon smart pots / 200 gallon (input welcomed)
\nI was thinking of placing my first plants 3 feet from the fence making the grow space really 42x42?.
Is that enough space away from the fence?
Is 3 feet between each pot enough space? I believe that's the only way I can squeeze 49 in there.  I dnt want to compromise my light too much
How much can I yield with the 65 gallon? 100gallon ? 200 gallon? with that space
\n3. STRAIN PREFERENCE So I had some Frisian Dew, Amherst Diesel, Lemon Diesel beans that never popped.  It rains a ton in the summer out here.  I want input with these factors in this order (Durability/Mold Control, Yield , Potency) So my options i'm left with are :
    \nSour Diesel
Cherry Pie (pheno not dark purple)
    Girl Scout Cookies
    3XKRAZY
    Blue Dream
    JILLY BEAN
    KOSHER KUSH
    PURPLE URKLE
    GRAPE STOMPER
    ALIEN O.G.
    HIPPIE KILLER
    PLATINUM O.G.

  2. Not to be a dick but have you grown outdoors before? Are you working alone? 4000 gallons and 40 plants is a fuck load to try and deal with.. I only ask because of the questions you're asking..

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  3. @[member="ThePot"] : Yes I have grown outside, not on this scale though. Yes i'm flying solo on this project just me, myself and I.  I have some assistance building my structure though. Any input?

  4. thats gonna be sooo much work. Blue Dream is awesome outdoor strain BTW

  5. 89% dairy doo seems pretty strange, and the 5% sphagnum. Seems like a lot of ewc as well, why so much? I believe its pretty quick release N. I don't use blood or bone either, bc of animals mostly. 3 ft seems pretty small for 100 gallons, even 65? much better people here to answer that than me..    whats the Ph of the soil?

  6. @[member="ThePot"] - Soil hasn't been mixed so the ph is unknown?  Regarding space, I know 3ft is cutting it close.  It's for certain going to be tight but is it too close. Am I just wasting sunlight for the sake of having a few more plants?

the person that gave you recipe doesn't use same or know ph?

idk man hard call, less bigger vs more smaller... less plants - less of each strain or strains in general, but would also argue bigger plants = bigger colas/less popcorn? more weight, bigger buds? then again guess you could just do 65, 100 and even a 200 etc, dont all have to be same size....  never really thought about OD in a cage.. 10ft high enough for huge ass plants? Im gonna have to say potentially no.

    -  mycorrhizae never hurts, another reason I go for kelp meal and garden tone as they are often inoculated or whatever (vs bone/blood as far as I know)

im baked as fuck haha :smoking:

  8. @[member="ThePot"] My "Soil Expert/Consultant" is from outta of state. He owns a soil company in Nor-Cal . He personally does not use cow manure in his blend.  He made this blend for me based off the ingrediendts that I have available.

Yeah man a cage smh. There is some grey area whether or not greenhouses are legal in my area. Custom made structure to stay compliant, ya dig. I'm thinking about modifying my spacing jumping up to 5 feet from one edge of a pot to next pot's edge maybe 6.5-7 feet from stem to stem. I estimate this would  give me room for 36 plants in a 42x42 grow space

?? 9ft High 4ft Wide PLANT??  Too small? What you think I can yield off one?

I'm doing demo and site prep wrk right now i'll try and post some pics in like a week or two

  9. western Oregon and western Wa are not good places for Jillybean or Blue dream. Very susceptible to mold. Jilly finishes too late.
Not buying the Bat guano and EWC theory. too many growers on here have dis proven that. Myself included.

  10. go with Blue Snowdog from Oregon greenseed.

  11. Not if you black box=]
