can't get past seedling stage

  1. Yes it can be used from start to fininish but it is sounding like your about to put a seed into a large pot so you dont have to transplant.. dont do this, start in a dixie cup.

    Transplanting is easy simply turn the cup upside down and press bottom of the cup and the entire ball of dirt will come out in one piece, place in new pot and fill around it with more soil.

    why is it bad to start directly in a 10" pot? could this have also contributed to my stunted seedlings since that is what i've been doing?

    also, how long can they stay in the cups and how will i know when its time to transplant?

    i've read that if using a jiffy pot for seedlings, the pot can be planted right into the larger pot to avoid transplanting. does the jiffy pot contain anything that i don't want to add to the light warrior since it decomposes? or, is it best to just use a party cup and transplant it?
