On July 5, 2014, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a limited medical marijuana bill into law, which included several revisions he insisted upon. After 18 years of work, led by tireless Assemblyman Richard Gottfried, New York is now the 23rd state with an effective medical marijuana law. The health department's FAQ on the program - which does not yet include a timeline for dispensaries being approved - is available here.

    Here you go

The implementation date is the latter of the following events as required by statute:
    1. January 5, 2016 – which is 18 months from when the bill was signed, or\t
    2. When the system is certified by the Commissioner of Health and Superintendent of State Police.

NY has a bill imposed for full Colorado style recreational legalization but its very likely to not get passed

  8. They're in the process of selecting the 5 companies to start cultivation. One of those companies is Citiva, they want to use the old Army Depot in Romulus which is excellent as its 40 minutes from where I am. We need some business around here. Another person seeking one of the spots is none other than the "Wolf of Wall Street". Smart business man, knows where the money is going.
