Cutting Edge.soultions. High Ppm Count.

  1. Hey guys. First post here. Hello. I am new to cutting edge but have heard its the best so I am trying it out! I have been following the nutrient calculator and water to nutrient ratios very strictly. I know all about the "false" p.h. reading. But why are my ppm' s always running so much higher than what there mixing chart reccomends? For example, I run a reverse osmosis and my ppm measures out at zero. I have a 30 gallon reservoir. I mix it and it ends up testing well over 2000 ppm. Sometimes upwards of 2200 ppm. But I am doing everything I am supposed to? I think. I know about lowering the ppm by diluting with water but should it be that extreme??? Usually I fill my reservoir with water and then mix the solution. And with this issue I end up removing water to lower the ppms and end up wasting water and nutrients. What am I doing wrong?

  2. Forget what the meter says for a minute, what do the plants look like?

  3. Plants look great those high ppm's just freak me out

    meter working right?

You know, most of the time I follow the directions and just cross my fingers.

If the plants are happy then thats the bottom line. Can you use another meter,a friends or spare?

Those numbers are high as hell. mine are 260-800 PPM all the time. Im running dry soluble nutes.

  5. Yeah the meter is correct. A lot of people have this problem. Ive seen a lot of people asking this same question but not very many answers. I contacted c.e.s. hopefully they will provide a little insight

HHHmmm well the plants are happy but the numbers are not what we are used to seeing. Damned if I know, some inert trace elements being detected?

I'm curious now to hear what the manufacture has to say.

  7. Yeah me too! Ill keep you updated

  8. Ahhh classic. No response from c.e.s.
