De Foil Before Harvest?

  1. Hey guys I'm about a week or 2 away from harvest and have red places that taking all the bigger fan leafs off the plant early is better than trimming them off when you harvest the plant. Anyone have any experience or knowledge to share about this?

  2. As your plant goes into senescence (end of life) it well start using up the nutrients stored in the fan leaves. That's why they start to dry up and fall off as they are used up. I'd leave them until just before harvest. Might not be very many then if you are running long.

    Sent from somewhere over there.
    No, not there...over THERE.

  3. cutting any leaves whether its removing entire leaves and petioles or "wet trimming" opens up wounds on the plant from which it bleeds. The moisture leaks onto your plant and may lead to mold. This is one main reason I prefer dry trimming. If you absolutely must then wet trimming works too. It makes the bud dry faster which is why I wet trimmed my last harvest
