    1. Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil - 1 Bag (1.5 Cubic
    Ft. /38.6 Dry Qts.) $17.00
    2. Noble Worm Organics Soil Remedy - 1 Bag (1 Cubic Ft./25lbs./28 Liters) $18.00
    3. Miracle Gro Perlite  (Enriched With Miracle Go Plant Food) - 1 Bag (8 Qts.) $5.00
    4. Greenbelt Organics Sea Bat Fusion Guano - 1 Bag (2 lbs.) $10.00

AM going to add about a cup of bone meal and about a cup of blood meal and about a cup of epsom salt.

To cook it I think I can pour in a quart of kelp and some water and stir.

Let me have it. Tell me whats up. I need this to work.

I get that in flowering I may need a kick and to that end I have things like monopotassium phosphate (Bloom powder) Not organic but I saw Mad Farmers version work really well so I looked up the ingredient and ordered it for pennies on the dollar. Also have blackstrap molasses for carb load substitute for pennies on the dollar again.

The enriched Perlite was a mistake. Did not mean for it to have extra nutes, but im using it anyway.

    How to properly cook??
Can i add a quart of sea kelp and some RO water and stir and cook for a few weeks and that will do it?

ALSO how do you feel about my well water? has metal but very light staining in tub. No harsh rust or taste. PPM is 350 PH is 7ish

I need to ask 2 questions, just because you are asking for advice here in the Organics forum.

    1. Did you do any research on a soil recipe here, in the Organic Growing forum?

    2. Did you already buy any of these ingredients?

    J

Edit: last question - just how honest a response do you want?

  6. 1. No
    2. Yes

    3. Yes hit me with the honesty.

  8. You should spend a week or two just reading the beginners thread marv posted in your spare time, perhaps visit jerry's journal in the organic journal section of GC as well.

Lots to learn though you managed to find one of the most friendly and informed communities on the web.

  9. You NEED to do some research here or you will be chasing your tail.

"The enriched Perlite was a mistake. Did not mean for it to have extra nutes, but im using it anyway."

Adding Miracle Gro plant food to an organic soil is probably one of the worst things you can do. Chemicals are not healthy for a living soil. We rely on soil microbes in a huge way in order for our soils to work properly so by saying "I'm using it anyway" tells me that you simply don't know how this works or don't care. I'm leaning towards (hoping) that you just don't know.

Take some time and start reading through this thread as a starting point. Read, re-read and start asking questions.

  10.
Quoted for emphasis. Avoid potential problems by informing yourself ahead of time.

Too easy to just begin going through the threads here and establishing a cheap, efficient, healthy soil.

  11. Thanks for the help for sure. See I added the nuted perlite to my FFOF and my EWCs before I realized. I know it was a mistake and the opposite of what Organic is about. Its a money thing as to why I have to push forward and use it. There is a next time. I have already found another place to get regular bigger chunky perlite as well as Diatomite Rock which im going to go half and half with due to reading up on it.

  12. Well I guess you could always just flush the soil a bunch with some kind of leeching solution, see if that helps rid the miracle grow devils food. But you'd have to cook the heck out of it to re-establish the ecology.

    Or  call your grow "organic"
