  2. His books are great

  3. If this were titled, '"Teaming With Microbes" Lecture'  It may generate more interest.
This was an awesome talk, thanks for sharing it.

  4. Most interesting fact: Most of the plant's photosynthetic energy is used to create and secrete exudates.

So...if a plant is in a soil that doesn't have much microbial life, most of the plant's energy is wasted trying to attract things that aren't there? Healthier soil compensates for less light? More light doesn't compensate for dead soil?

  5. Yes, i believe the saying is "Feed your soil not your plant"

The thing about teas that many growers dont realize is that the tea is not for the plant to eat directly, its for the microbes to eat, then get eaten by other microbes who are attracted to the feeding microbes, THIS is where the nutrients come from.

    Organics is awesome.

  6. Just a quick comment and big thanks to op for posting this vid link up.

Towards the end of this impressive lecture, he mentions the use of a protozoa populated tea made simply by soaking straw and how most farmers are unaware of this method. My first thoughts were what type of straw/hay would be preferable?

This method is so stupid simple with little to no downside that I might have to give it a try. However, the only hay I have on hand at the moment is clover hay and no straw whatsoever.
