3 Footers In 3 Gallon Buckets

  1. could anyone give me a quick tutorial on transplanting 3 footers in 3 gallon containers to 5 gallon paint buckets?

     
  2. Well, first you want your medium in the planted pot to be fairly dry so it comes out easily and holds together. You want to have your new bucket about 40-50% full of more medium, pre-moistened. Pick up your pot with the plant, grab the bottom of the main stem, tip the bucket sort of sideways but tilted with plant almost downward, (you would likely be best off down on one knee so you can rest the side of the pot on your other knee/thigh area) tap the bottom of the pot and gently work the plant out of the old pot. Place it into the new bucket. Fill sides to top with more medium. Water fully.
     
  3. I would bet there are some youtube videos out there demonstrating what I just explained if you searched transplanting cannabis plants. :smoke:

  5. Im just nervous because the last time i transplanted plants this big they got root bound in the new pot
     
  6. Thats because your putting them in 3 gallon pots.
