been hang drying them for 4 days in my grow box - no light, no air pump, just the fans. Checked today, and found the buds looking like this - fuzzy brown. What's wrong with them, and can it be resolved? Thanks!
In my experience, if its bud rot, its a loss to smoke at least. If it looks like the buds are decaying from the inside out then Id go with saying its bud rot. A way to check is to partially spread the bud apart to see the stem. WIth bud rot, the affected parts will just pluck right off either way and youll see a small dustlike cloud of spores go with it. However, Botrytis(bud rot) usually gives an appearance of a decaying brown/grey color all over the bud. And like I said the affected material will just pluck right off because it has been affected by the mold. It could be Powdery Mildew. If so, ive heard of techniques able to wash it off and still have the bud usable. If all else fails, you can still use the bud to make hash/oil from what I understand.
