Hello! On monday I planted my 4 bubblegummer seeds. I did everything https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CWSpXhx8iM this guy said I have to. It's been two-three days and the plants has peeked out of the dirt. But now here is the catch ... I am doing this in my closet. Its a wardrobe closet, its empty now with only LIGHT ( I do 20/4 ) cycle and water them. There is room tempature in the closet all time and air can come in and go out... But here is the catch! I am scared something will go wrong because I don't have ventilation and I don't plant on buying all that stuff that you have to put into the dirt ( fertilizer ). If I only use water and light, will this plant grow? Can someone tell me how much light does it need first few weeks and then what light cycle comes after few weeks? THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWERS!
I would say keep the light schedule at 18 light/6 dark for the entire vegging phase. Some people say start the seedlings at 24/0 and switch to 18/6 but in my experience there is no difference really. As for the amount of weeks it really depends on your lightsource, I use CFL's and I have a plant that has been vegging for around 3 months and I still only think it's half ready to switch to flowering. I would say veg for 2-4 months then when you start flowering, start a strict schedule of 12/12 As far as ventilation goes, I think you are okay as long as you open the closet once in a while so the air doesn't get stale. As long as the lights don't fry the plants you are gucc. However, you say that you aren't using ferts and I think that is a wholly bad idea, whether you use fortified soil or liquid ferts is up to you, but just growing in straight peat moss with perlite, you are bound to come across some type of nutrient deficiency, causing stressed plants. At the very least get a cheapo bottle of miracle gro and follow the directions. I hope I helped you in some way. Happy growing brah!
Here's the deal... your information is a bit limited. What kind of light are you using? CFL I assume. Here's the short answer... without a decent light setup you will grow bud but they will be light and fluffy and will smoke up quick. You also need some sort of nutrients at some point since they are going to be supplying your plants with the nutrients needed in order to grow adequately. If you don't have good ventilation then you will not be supplying your girls will fresh air that's rich in co2 and that will hinder the growth. Plus once they flower they will stink to high heaven and you need to be able to get rid of that stinky air. Will they grow.... yes. But I wouldn't expect much from them. I assume there is reasons for not investing in a good setup albeit financial or availability but I have found that you get out of your plants what you put into them and without a decent setup you can expect Crappy popcorn buds at best. A little fan will be fine. most people go way overboard on fans. I have three 1,000w lights and dont use fans just convection and windows. Grow in the open if you can, the more you box them in the more you need fans
I'm not planning a field, it just 4 seeds, for me to smoke through the summer that's all and for that I don't really think I need to buy these things... are there any other cheaper ways to go? Okay, I'll change the light cycle to 18/6

You will have more problems then rewards. Absolute cheapest setup I can say would be to get a bag of miracle grow, some CFL's, and place the CFL's real close to your plants. However, you are stabbing yourself in the foot if you take the only seeds you have (especially if you bought them) and putting them in a cheapo setup Luck is preparation meets opportunity. You have the opportunity to grow, now is the time to be really prepared, and not the time to skimp on a setup. Just my two cents
Flowering is when you change the light regimen to 12/12, simulating the shortening days of fall. This photoperiod will trigger mechanisms in the plant that will tell it to stop vegging and start growing bud
Mate i would give up now, i dont think its going to worth it for you and maybe put you off growing in the future. XChef is right bro, if you can buy some stuff then get it, if not then save and buy a little tent with some fans and a better light when you can.
