I put it on 12/12 a few days ago 80 x 120 x 180cm tent 4" systemair fan 2x 250w HPS 2x 6" circulation fans 2x 10 litre per minute air pumps 70 litre low profile RUB box as a reservoir 5cm Screen made from plastic coated steel (60x90cm) Ionic grow & bloom

sweet scrog! I'm also running 2x 250w lamps. Except one is a magnetic MH with a conversion bulb and the other is a electronic ballast (lumatek). What strain(s) you got there? Is that one plant or multiple?
Thanks man. I'm tempted to run one HPS and one MH to see if there's any difference, I've never done a side by side with both before. It's a blue cheese, and just the one plant under there. i might try that. Sometimes I run MH the first two or three week of flowering and switch over to the conversion bulb. I haven't done a full grow yet in this setup flowering solely with mh. I did that once and flowering took like 14 weeks but there was also a ton of problems that grow. That stem is massive! Looks like she can carry some real weight! I have flowered with a MH many years ago but that was back before I knew what I was doing. The bud was great but the weights aren't comparable to what I get these days, but then I have changed a lot more than just lights. Thanks man, I hope she can lol. The first time I grew this plant (clone parent) the colas were so heavy many had to be supported with yoyos lol
As from today I'm going to let the shoots come through the screen. Every day I have been pushing them back through the screen, hopefully they won't stretch to the point I run out of height I think I might strip away a lot of the shoots from the underside or it will take me a week to trim all the crappy little buds that grow underneath

Yeah just the one plant mate, I am still using two HPS but ill swap one for an MH as soon as I remember when the lights are off, I keep forgetting lol. I reckon it's worth a try, it can't do any harm

I won't cut any descent leaves off, they are needed for breathing and light absorption, just the growing shoots and some full branches if they look like they won't come to much. I usually leave all that under there but harvesting it all is a nightmare, it's so tedious and can take a week for me to get through trimming all the tiny buds I'm not sure how many days in it is, maybe 5 days perhaps. I have it on my calender so ill check later. I usually let the shoots grow up through on day one of 12/12 but this plant stretches like crazy so I'm hoping to save myself about 6 inches by keeping them under the screen for what I planned was a week but pushing shoots back through the screen when it's this full is a pain.. If I have to I can still bend and tie the taller branches when and if they get too tall so hopefully I won't run out of height
I'm running into a problem with light penetration. But I'm going to tie some branches back so the light gets through better. Hopefully I don't break shit. Lol. It flowered for 9 weeks last time give or take a couple of days. I find as long as there are some decent leaves lower down to feed the plant it will grow bud ok even with surprisingly low amount of light getting through. Of course opening them out for more light to get down through is better lol My last grow with this plant gave me about a foot of good penetration even with the 250w
So do you I suggest trimming the fan leaves or keeping. Right now as u may have seen can't really get the back plants that well. But I just wanna trim fan leaves. Either that or I'm just going to say fuck it and see what happens Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
