Hi guys, So my journey to try and find what ever it is to conquer the symptoms of chrones disease, of which i suffer from for the last 3 years almost,has led me to the decision to try growing some weed for some decent meds. Anyhow! The set up as follows ! 1mx1mx2m tent 200w cfl (blue spec)- vegging 200wcfl ( red spec ) - flowering In line fan Carbon scrubber Small oscolating fan Temp n humidity gage So the strain I have chosen is northern lights proberbly not the best strain for medicinal reasons however whilst reaserching I found its a fairly easy strain to grow ! So I ordered 5x feminised Northen lights ! With my order I received 2x regular Hawaian skunk haze 1 x strawberry blue Can't beat herbies Thursday 17th April 2014 Started germination 5x Northen Lights (wet paper towel method ) Saturday 19th April 2014 3 seeds sprouted and got planted as thought would be better in the soil ( using light mix with extra perlite ) 4th and 5th seeds I think are duds however I planted them in the soil kept it moist and put a cut bottle over to retain moisture ( not much hope tho ) I labeled my pots 1 2 3 4 5 for easy note keeping and such like 21st April #1 #2 #3 all poped out of soil Come to the conclusion #5 is a dud and #4 I got a small bit of hope in her as I moved a bit of soil to reveal and had started to split ever so slightly To make up for the Los I started germinating the 2 x Hawaian skunk haze hoping at lease 1 will be fem as there only regular seeds! #1 #2 #3 Would be good if a few of you could chime in any tips hints constructive criticism would be great first grow here all in the name of medicine ! We have the same tents, cool man. Two things I would change if I may be so bold... The ducting is very long, the longer it is the harder the fan has to work, the length and any bends seriously slow the movement of air. You are better off cutting it short, or use a fast clamp to connect the fan and filter with no ducting between at all. The other thing I would do is run both those lamps side by side throughout the grow. That looks like a 4" systemair fan, and should easily handle 400 watts of CFLs Looking good though man
Hey gold grower yes has already been mentioned about my fan n filter will get onto that ASAP , the fan isn't actually in use yet as its knocking down my humidity to much or should I be using it for air flow :/ My original plan was to use the 200 w blue bulb for all of vegging then to add the other one to total 400w throughout flowering
Need to devise a plan how I can use both the bulbs though as dont want to buy another reflector or will I have to :/
I would get rid of that ducting and just have the filter right at the end of the fan, it will cut back on resistance and help the fan work a little easier

If you want to use two bulbs you will need two reflectors. I don't think there's any way around that. The one bulb will be plenty for the first couple of weeks. They will be fine for the whole of the veg with one, but they would make use of another given the chance. I would have the fan running 24/0 but if the heat is ok it probably will be fine. You will need a fan blowing on the plants so they can breath though. As soon as they break soil you don't want them covered up otherwise they will suffocate and growth will be slowed down

Here's a photo with the lights in it, 3x 125w CFLs. It's my vegging tent and it's full of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and other non interesting plants at the moment lol. I'll take a photo of my flowering tent in a sec, that one has a DWC blue cheese ScrOG and is much more interesting to see
