  1. I used to have tons of time to paint and draw but work has taken me away:(
I love acrylic, charcoal, and oil pastel...some of the most beautiful artwork comes from them.
I'm just wondering what everyone else is using!!

  2. I'm all over the place

Inks, Pencils, Acrylics, Colored-pencils, prisma color markers, spray paint, clay, really whatever I feel like making at the moment.

  4. That would be nice. The good majority of the stuff I have is holdover from schooling though...so it doesn't feel like a spent a lot but I did.

  5. I loove acrylic! But $6 a tube, plus glaze and canvas??? No bueno

That's why I don't use canvas...I would like to but I just use bristol board it's not made for every type of medium but I use it for every type.

  7. Bristol board eh? I'll have to check it out. Can you do pastels as well?

  8. Words.

I draw a little bit, but I'm not much good at it. I've never really devoted a lot of effort into trying to get better though, so I guess I can't complain. I admire and envy the ones who do it well :) particularly the ones who communicate things that just can't be done through words.

  9.
I have pastels but I don't really use them much, I swear I've used them on bristol board though with turpentine.

If you like drawing just keep at it. The funny thing about being a creative type is you will always think your not good enough. Those people you are impressed by have crippling self esteem.

  10. I know what you mean, unfortunately. I've had many people reluctantly show me something amazing and say something along the lines of, "well, it's not that good, but okay."

  11. I think that's part of the key to success. If your work is never good enough for yourself, you only got room to improve.
