Dampening Cloth To Prevent It From Absorbing Oil.

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by UniqueGrass, Apr 20, 2014.

  1. I used an old shirt to strain a small amount of oil today and it absorbed more than I thought it would. Would dampening the fabric with water before straining the oil prevent so much of it from becoming absorbed into the fabric? If not, what could I do to stop/reduce absorption of oil into the cloth?

  2.
Dampen the cloth with fresh oil so that it will already be saturated and won't absorb as much of your good stuff as the dry one would.  :)

I acually thought of that, too. I was just wondering because oil and water are polar

You don't want that moisture in your oil which can make it go rancid. The fresh oil won't dilute anything, it's just to keep the dry cloth from absorbing your good stuff.  :)
