What If I Told You This Terrifying Fact

  1. if im wrong correct me, dont let the

there are creatures that stalk you in the night, first you feel them sting you, and then you wake up in their cave, caught in their metal web, you might be trapped there for days before they start to kill you, maybe with metal claws or maybe with something worse, as they drain the last bit of life from you you stare into their horrible cold eyes

you think that only some sort of monster is capable of this but youve just been slaughtered by a serial killer,
you fear scorpions and spiders for what they do to their prey, the thing we should fear most is a psychotic member of your own species

  2. Well I don't know a lot of people that aren't scared by serial killers

  3. im probably not the best at pointing things out but i meant to say out of all the animals its human that you have to be most afraid of

  4.
More specifically, yourself... since your thoughts are what controls your fears.

The objective is to eliminate fear completely.

  5. "Maybe with metal claws"

    1-2 Freddys coming gor you
    3-4 Better lock your door
    5-6 Grab your crucifix
    7-8 Better stay up late
    9-10 Never sleep again

  6. Who doesn't fear serial killers to some extent? Most people who carry a firearm on a regular basis don't do so because they want to be prepared for an animal attack, they are wary of humans. Homesteaders and country folk aside, although they know humans suck too

  7. not exactly what i meant

when we look at people we see other ones like us, like how the brain finds faces where it can,
we would imagine being killed by a giant bug would be horrifying, isnt the only thing separating that and being killed by a person, the fact we find people familiar

ive probably followed a thought too far to make sense

  8. And the fact that humans have conscious thoughts and imo are capable of elaborate ways of killing someone even torturing psychologically. Now the pain would be the worst part, I hate pain but the aspect of dying is meh. And yeah I see what you mean though, pattern recognition, and the fear of the "unknown" compared to fear of the "familiar" as you called it. Good thing this scenario isn't likely to happen but yeah it happens.

  9. It's crazy how your thoughts control your reality. I think there was an actual account of someone requesting to be murdered. So in a way "suicide" by someone else. In their mind they wanted it so I guess it was pleasant to some extent to the guy but that's pretty fucked on my spectrum.

That's a dramatic assumption on your part. There are plenty of individuals, including myself, who are fully aware that amongst our species are wolves in the guise of sheep. Whether they are gang members, mentally unstable psychopaths, lobbyists, or the political elite, man has always been aware of it's greatest enemy: His fellow man. That's why war, bloodshed, and political tension have always been prevalent in the world, regardless of our varying belief systems, mentalities, cultures, and geographic locations- all of which you can argue is also the cause of the aforementioned. Sure, to some extent we romanticize the impractical or unimaginable, but that's purely do to the inherent fear of the unknown that plagues all humans. Everyone knows they could be out for a walk and get stabbed/robbed for their money. Happens all the time. But that is a reality that's been thrust on you for so long, that it has become quite normalized- thus the fear has been minimized.

When you talk about the fear of maybe being eaten by an animal like a shark, or killed by something like a spider, these are fears that exist because they are not only rational, but just as likely depending on where you live. If you live in California, the chances of you being bitten by a Black Widow or a Brown Recluse, is just as high as the potential for you to get shot, maybe even more so. I'll admit I'm kind of pulling that out of my ass, but if you think about the sheer number of spiders, snakes, and venomous insects that exist within such a small area, it's impossible for me to think otherwise. If you're a surfer the whole shark thing may be entirely rational, but some have gone their whole lives without being in close proximity with one (to their knowledge). Another component of fear which allows for these fears to take such a hold, is the realization that they come with a tremendous amount of circumstance. You can adapt behavior to kind of counter almost any fear or gripe you have with humans, but there's no way you can escape the potential of being bitten in your sleep, or being outside and getting bit, etc. You'd have to become the most hygienic shut in ever, and even then, spiders are just naturally drawn to the dark, warm, isolated areas of housing that we all have. Psychologically, you could face your fear time and time again and normalize it- similar to what can be done with those who have a fear of flying or public speaking for example, but fear tends to get the better of most of us.

  11. Yes- man's only real enemy is his human nature-which usually results in more more more power, control, and resources in various forms.

  12. I congratulate you on a well executed post. :hello: +rep

  13. what im trying to say is humans have a level of awareness, and other animals probably do as well,
when we kill them they are not seeing something familiar they are seeing a monster

  14. You are very, very high.

    My cereal is fine.

  15. pretty much
