Well I was recently in the hospital for 7 days for vomiting and nausea... I lost about 20 pounds. I had an inception in my intestine. So i still have to take it easy on my stomach... To make matters worse... I already have something called GERD( Gastroesophageal reflux disease ) so I am also limited to wait i can eat...I do take medication for it. My doctors also told me to take it easy on the smoking(cannabis)  Right now i am eating chicken, pork, clam chowder, and chicken noodle soups. I also have been drinking 1 Insure( the protein one) a day.

So... Can anyone with similar issues help?

  2. A simpler diet will help keep stomach acids under less stress. Meats and veggies.

Apple cider vinegar (raw organic, like Braggs) can help restore proper acidity in the stomach.

Unless it's purely caused by something pushing acid past your lower esophageal sphincter valve.

As far as weight gain... That's based on calorie surplus exceeding your caloric maintenance level. Everyone is unique and at a certain amount of calories consumed daily, for their avg activity level, they will not gain or lose weight. Once you establish your level, add a couple hundred calories over it daily then track the steady weight gain day to day, adding more as necessary.

It may be wise to focus on healing first and relieving the gerd before weight gain. Eating lots of fresh vibrant fruits and veggies, both raw and cooked should be the priority. Then meats that you are allowed to eat... Healthy fats from good oil or butter is important also. Def stay away from processed/fast foods, potentially dairy also, and i would limit starchy carbs. This is a health minded diet and keeps you naturally lean and muscular, but it' support healing very well.

Stay away from Milk? Im surprised. They told me to drink mink as it could coat my stomach. I also have a very high metabolism and on average consume at least 3000 calories a day( when I smoke and get the munchies it doesn't help lol) I am limited to chicken and pork more or less. They also recommended the B.R.A.T diet for awhile but I just can't do that lol. I have cut out all fast foods for the past week.

Any other viatmins/ foods known to help gain weight? I drink 1 insure a day already but some just say they are pure sugar haha.
    Thanks for the response.

  4. Inception? Doesn't that mean beginning? Sorry, help a german blade understand

Anyhow. I had a lot huge digestive struggel for the last 4-5 months and lost a shit ton of weight, too. What helped me was reading a book about the possible benefits of experimenting with very high doses of Vitamin D. I started using that and it actually helped me a lot. You can either pick one of the books up or hit me up on PM and I'll lecture you on it. I've read some reports that it can help get rid of GERD too, so maybe that will be worth it. I know for it definitely was worth it because it really ruined my everyday life.

Anyhow, as soon as I was feeling better I made sure to eat atleast three times a day (it's best to get up early in the morning). I'd eat past my usual stopping point (note: obviously not to the puking point, but a couple bites beyond I'm full). Afterwards I'd drink half a liter of milk with a weight gainer I picked up. (yeah yeah I know people like to hate on them, but I wasn't looking for building lean muscle, but gaining some fat back.) The additional half liter of thick-ish fluid helped expand my stomach and enabled me to eat more.

  5. A good way to gain weight is to start lifting and eating plenty of protein, vegetables and carbs, but i dont know if you can stomach working out right now

  6. I think he means an Intussusception, which is a medical term describing one part of your bowel sliding into another part, in a telescoping like effect. Can cause bowel obstruction/loss of blood flow to the affected region.

And yeah don't avoid dairy, especially if you want to gain weight. Milk and other dairy products have gotten a really bad rap in recent years among some nutritional circles, and I really don't see why. Good source of healthy fats, protein, vitamins, calcium etc.

  7. I had pretty bad acid reflux and I figure out it was milk that caused it.  Since stopping milk (with my cookies), the reflux went away.  Also, eating fermented vegetables really helped.  In fact, I can now even have the occasional milk without the reflux coming back.

  8. Get a trainer at a gym they'll help you gain healthy weight

  9. Thanks for all the responses guys. i am still looking into it as I can't eat or do certain things yet(like working out) And yes, thanks for the spelling correction haha.

  10.
What he said. Focus on getting your healthy balance first, then worry about weight gain.

As far as weight gain goes, just eat more of whatever you can eat. Gaining weight is simply a case of your caloric intake being higher than your caloric expenditure. An average adult male's RDA of calories is 2500, so try and get in 2600, or 2700. You'll gain weight slowly but healthily.

  11. you need to consume more protein. that doesn't mean necessarily to eat more meat. nuts, seeds and certain veggies have lots of protein. (take broccoli for example). be careful on where your meat comes from.
also advice on milk "coating your stomach" has absolutely not basis, other than good imagination.
actually i'd recommend to stay away from all heavily-pasteurized dairy products.
(the only things i would suggest you try is organic kefir -- excellent source of probiotics and lactose free generally, organic greek yogurt without sweeteners. i.e. plain... both also good sources of protein)

start looking into green shakes and add things like hemp seeds to them. consider adding turmeric, goji berries.. flex and chia seeds.. (not all at once)... so called super-foods, that are very rich in nutrients and antioxidants and have all sorts of healing properties.

excellent suggestion on raw, organic bragg's vinegar (a tablespoon with a cold glass of water in the morning). google about that.

you may want to try to take 2 teaspoons of black seed oil per day.

  12. Whats bad about Pasteurized milk? I was looking for a local farm to sell me fresh milk anyhow and am curious.
