5 year aged Meughai golden puerh of bulang mountain.

Heres a review of it from a couple weeks back.
The numbers refer to the steep times. I used boiling water and 5 grams of leaf.

"Sampled this tea after work this afternoon
    Rinsed the leaves/paused/10/20/40/60/90/120

The dried leaves were beautiful an amber golden color. Looked to be all tea bud.
The tea itself smelt deep and dark (my two favorite ripe aromas)
It infused a deep red color.

I found there was a distinct bread/wheat taste with almost a raisin aftertaste.
The later infusions were very enjoyable but I failed to take very good notes. Lots of complexity to this tea each infusion brought something interesting.

Noticed fair amount of qi which was warming me up after the 3rd back to back infusion."

Flavors: Raisins, Rice, Sawdust, Wheat, Wood

  9. Just been given a huge jar of fresh, dried, Ceylon tea.

Has a great taste but soaks up too much fluid, so you're left with half a mug, any tips?

How do you strain the tea?
    Do you have a strainer?
    Or Unbleached cotton bag?

I would press the liquid out of the tea leaves.

Had some Indian spiced chai tea this morning on my way to work.

Added one of my favorite black teas to it.

Groovy vibes to all the tea drinkers.
    Stay warm drink tea.

  11. Tend to use in pan with milk/water if making an Indian style chai or in a strainer teapot if just having tea on its own.

When in a saucepan it ends up half a mug as opposed to a full mug when using normal tea

I'm fortunate enough to have a pot that has a strainer in it as well. See above pic.

  13. I miss loose leaf tea. Bought some bagged Red Rose stuff and it's okay but just doesn't compare.

    Still, tea is awesome!

  14. Tea is great. I usually drink either iced tea or green tea (hot).
