Even if it is a H2 remake, it will be a 343i remake. After Halo 4 I just can't get excited for anything they release, what a flop that game was.
But if it has even starts and no sprint or armor abilities (as a Halo 2 remake should) then I don't see what could be wrong with it. It would literally be the same game everyone loved but with better visuals. Also I hope Halo 5 makes more of an effort to give a traditional multiplayer experience. I feel like they should have two sets of playlists, one for infinity multiplayer and one for old school multiplayer that would be a lot like Halo 3 multiplayer.

Yep. It'll probably be super gay like that. Just the campaign in HD and the MP portion will just be H4/H5 matchmaking. Just like Halo CE Anniversary.
Halo 1-2 were great, 3 was ok, 4 was just terrible... But I know they'd be fools not to know that and they have to make something crazy for the first game on new systems

Hell yeah dude. They are keeping the same ranking system as in the original Halo 2 also. That means you can go down level(s) if you lose often. Shit dude. Halo 2 multiplayer was the epitome of competative play. EVERY single game was intense, because both sides knew if they lost, theyd be in for a delevel. I remember i got up to 38 in Rumble Pit within the first month of release. 38-40 looked cool because you got 3 arrows and they were blue/purple. I had to retire from Rumble Pit because games were just too intense and i was afraid of losing my cool looking rank. So i took up Team Slayer and actually got that to 39 and i played that relatively worry free because even if i deleveled in that, id still have my Rumble Pit rank as the level you saw for me. Nowadays games arent abiut skill. Theyre about investing time. If i go on CoD: Titanfall Warfare and see a guy thats level 100 58th prestige. It doesnt mean shit because it could be some noob that sits at his game and plays 20hrs a day and eventually gets to 58th prestige, win or lose.
