does anyone else like getting stoned and listening to some cash? i haven't met many people with as much enthusiasm about him as i feel like i should have. maybe its just because his music was a huge part of my childhood, but... i love the man. i don't like much country, i especially dislike new country, but i can listen to johnny forever. sounds so awesome after smoking.
I Listen to JC all of the time. Absolute genius. and yes, POP COUNTRY SUCKS! If you have Sirius /xm, check out the outlaw country station. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
I'm more of a fan of Hank Williams when it comes to the genre, but Johnny Cash is pretty good. I'm certainly not enthusiastic about him though, I just vehemently believe in the differentiation between old and new country. New country followed the same road as new pop and rap, and most new rock too...
Il listen to Johnny cash whenever. Cash. Hank Williams. Han Williams jr. And hell hank Williams 3 when I'm feeling extra rebely. Waylon jennings and Willie Nelson. David Allen Coe. Marty Robbins. Jerry Reed. Shit so many others. But those are the main few. Sent from my iPod touch using Grasscity Forum
Hell yes. "Gods gonna cut you down" is amazing to me and very spiritual and reminds me of the truth of karma and how I was cut down even though I'm not exactly religious. Smoking to that song never fails me.
I saw him in Concert in 1991. Awesome show. That guy is a legend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Ts4M3irWM
I got a bunch of old Cash records from my grandpa so I've been listening to him more recently. Definitely a legend.
I love listening to him stoned. But the highway men song is one of my favorites. The beat and song blows my head. But anything by cash is good.
