grow info: 4x4x8 tent 1000W HPS coco fiber - 3 gallon pots temps - 70-80 humidity - %30-%45 PH 5.5-6.0 PPM of tap water is around 135. 48 days into flower 12/12 So here's my dilemma. Weeks 1-4 of flowering I did not have a ppm meter and was watering with bloom nutes (botanicare) and big up powder every 3-4 days or so. So I did a good 7-8 waterings with full strength nutrients according to the feeding chart. This means every time i watered i fed them with both supplements. My question is do you think that I over fertilized my plants? Here's a thought - I put 135ppm water and fed one of my plants, the run-off measured to around 2450ppm. Would this scenario mean there is a nutrient buildup in the coco? And if so should i flush my plants and how often? 3 days ago I watered with JUST ph'd water and the runoff was still 1000+ppm I'll probbaly need to water tonight when they wake up There's only about 40-50 more days of flowering and i want to get this right. Please relay any tips or thoughts. I'm experiencing slow flowering growth as a result i belive, or i'm impatient I'll post pics with my phone!
Have you read AskEd's Coco guide? He suggests flushing every 4 weeks as a rule of thumb. IMO I would keep the feedings in the 700-1000 ppm range. From what I understand, coco is very forgiving, so when you do go over, simply flush and dial it back in. http://forum.grasscity.com/coco-coir/620656-askeds-coco-guide.html I am not an experienced grower but these are my understandings. Please correct me if I am wrong, I am here to learn.
