It's funny, you watch it and pick up on all of the George Soros-backed similarities to Colorado and Washington, and they conclude that Uruguay is doing things differently. How so?

I also love the down-home cultivated image of the Uruguayan President. Even that is nothing new, as persons like Warren Buffet have maintained low key residences and beat up cars to maintain a humble image to shake their ties and personal relations to the most controlling financial interests in the world.

When Rupert Murdoch of Fox News is bringing you this story (he is a noted investor in Vice Media) you damn well better be paying attention.

  5. It's offical.

    It's a sickness.

    carry on.

  6. I will.

  7. Pepe Mujica, you get a virtual salute. At the same time, why doesn't he try his own product for a conscious experiment?

  8. Everything Vice does is good

  9. Because he is tasked with growing for the pharma industry, and promoting usage of raw cannabis would be in direct opposition to the goals of those he is in bed with. Obama says its a "bad idea and unhealthy." Mujica says the same. But they aren't in cahoots. Oh, no sir.
If you think this guy lives in a shack in the jungle and drives an old VW, I have swamp land to sell you.

In the video, he said "Freedom is unholding from the chains of society and being mentally free" but then he said "We don't condone the smoking of Cannabis cause of etecera" if he doesn't condone the smoking of Cannabis, then why is he growing it? On the latter statement, he's still depicting what others should do with Cannabis. If he is concerned about people getting addicting, then promote the message "Moderation is key".  Politicians shouldn't be scared of divergent thinking, but see the value of what it can do towards enacting policies.

  11. No, you have it right. He doesn't (PUBLICLY) condone smoking of cannabis. He is tasked with growing for the pharmaceutical industry. Why would he support smoking it in a legal capacity when the profit potential of medicines derived from cannabis will have a profit potential thousands of times above and beyond what a recreational cannabis market would look like. Again, follow the money in this world and most things become apparent. People will pay through their eye teeth for a cure for M.S. or cancer over what they'll pay to catch a buzz. This Mujica guy is not believable on any level. Even Mujica's supposed meager lifestyle is a page right out of Warren Buffet's book. They are all progressive socialists following a script at this point.
