  1. I'm 18. I always wanted to join the military straight out of high school but i have a pretty serious charge on my record so i can't join US military.

I can join the FFL though.

    If  i go:

    1. I'll learn french

    2. I'll get to be an EU citizen

    3. I'll get to play with guns

    4. I'll be ripped to the gills by time those 5 years are over

    5. I'll be more disciplined

    6. I won't be a felon in the eyes of french law. Meaning i can get a gun license and blow shit up on the weekends.

    7. Probably make life long friends

    8. I'll get to travel all around europe tasting the finest fruits (women) they have to offer.

    9. I'll be 25 by time i get out. I'll only have about 200,000 american dollars to my name.I'll have pretty much no education so i'll probably end up having to go to school till i'm 30 to get an MBA. Or the french equivalent. School is also cheaper in france though.

    10. I can practice trading forex the whole time i'm serving. SO i might get better (it will be five years) and end up not even having to work.

    11. Will have cool stories to tell me kids.

    12. Won't get to smoke weed for the first five years. After that i'll have access to great french hashish. I hear france also has a medical program. And amsterdam isn't too far away.

    If i stay at home:

    1. I'll be smoking weed everyday

    2. I'll get to live in my own house, with my own bed. Not around 5000 men at all times.

    3. I'll go to community college, transfer to a 4 year, eventually get my MBA.

    4. Probably have enough cash to start a business by time i'm 22.

    5. Get to see my nieces/nephews grow up.

    6. Plenty of american women to make sexy times with.

    7. I can workout in my own time. Probably won't get as ripped but will get pretty muscular since i'll have actual weights.

    8. I'll always be a felon in the eyes of the law. So no guns and no jobs and no women who do background checks.

    9. No cool stories to tell

    10. Won't get the chance to become good at conversing in french

    11. never get to live in EU.

  2. Ehhh.... why not.

  3. So, you want to choose between a unique/unprecednted life or your typical/mediocre American life?
Why not- have an adventure. Life is worth living, right?

  4. i wouldnt go personally for moral reasons. I would advise you to look into their history and what theyre involved in now before you join. I dont understamd how people can just join armys willy nilly because they think its a good career move

  5. Marijuana will still be here when you leave the military. It's only 5 years it's not a lifetime.

  6. I know i'll be a pawn and probably have to do some fucked up shit. But tbh i don't really care. Not to sound like a psychopath or anti social or anything but whats gonna happen will happen whether or not i'm the one pulling the trigger. If its not me they'll send another guy.

And i'm not in it for the killing aspect. But i would like to see how i respond in a real combat situation. If i'll be as cool and collected as I am on the streets.

  8. Sounds more like your looking for a adventure, and if you do stay in America you can still learn french and hey theres other ways to get guns. Get up and find something to do you can make your cool stories right here.

  10. let's figure something out here...you're just now 18, yet you've been a member here since 2010?  Nice respect for the rules bro

  11. First off you have to make it through the training... The French Foreign Legion is known to have one of the harshest training programs in the world.

French Foreign Legion also goes on the most dangerous missions. Since there are no French nationals in the FFL they can send these guys anywhere to fuck shit up and claim to have no boots on the ground.

If you want to join go for it. Worst thing that happens is you don't make it in..

  12. Or dies in training..

Or dies on his first mission.

    Or dies period.

  13. Pretty sure i'll make it. The initial tests are actually really easy. And the training is meant to push you to your limits just like any other military training. They want to see that you can apply mind over matter. As long as you can do that you can survive.

And only 10% of legionnaires have died since its founding. So i think my chances of coming out alive are pretty good. Even if the missions are dangerous they still have basic rules of engagement. Their not gonna send us on literal suicide missions.

  14. I'm not talking about basic training like the US Army.. The FFL trains on the same level as the US Army Rangers, 10 Mountain Division, hell I'll even compare it to the Marine Force Recon training.. It's rough shit bro..

  15. Also the FFL is notorious for being sent on "suicide missions"... Kinda what they are their for actually. They are dependable soldiers for the French

  16. Listen to jamaican dude. No offense but you wont make it. Why dont you not smoke weed and focus your energy on physical training instead? Plenty you can do to better yourself while at home.

  17. Join the SAS they are the best of the best. Get to kill folk on a regular Basis lol

Although I heard the selection process is the toughest in the world!
Something crazy like for every 300 only a dozen make it, and for some Reason the majority of the SAS are Scottish.

  18. You don't know me or anything about me but you assume i won't make it? I'm naturally athletic. I already know what there selection process is and i know for a fact that i can pass it. After you pass the selection process the training is mind over matter. You push yourself to your physical limits. Thats the hardest part. But anyone who is physically and mentally fit can survive. You act like they are only recruiting the best athletes or something. Thats not true. Go look up there selection test. Hardest part is doing 8 pullups and i can do that no problem.

  19. wildwill i havent seen u around in forever, what sections u post in??? thought u werent even around anymore

  20. If youre so sure about it why ask a weed forum if you should join? Look, im not trying to argue but ive seen a little about the training they endure and it aint as easy as you make it out to to be. You dont think everyone has the same mindset you do when they sign up for these sort of things?
