Why Does My Bud Not Stay Fresh In My Jar??

    Hey guys, so I am just curious why my bud does not stay fresh when I keep it in my airtight jar. It's still very potent weed and same great taste once I smoke it but it smells no-where near as good as when I opened the airtight baggy (it's super smelly cali Sour Diesel)... Why is this?? Happens to all my weed, just end up losing it's smell which is a bit of a shame!
     
    Oh, and this is the jar (well very similar) to the one I have my stash in!

    Because you are not keeping the humidity controlled..... you have to store the jar in a dark cold area, and you need to buy a few humidipaks to control the humidity in the jar. Your bud will not get crispy , it'll stay fresh. And have the same fresh smell.

    I've seen people say those jars aren't air tight. Get a mason jar.

    Let me ask you this.....does it smell once you break it up?  I've never have this problem and i store buds up to 2 months.  Invest in mason jars or some other glass, air-tight jar.......store it away from light.  Also, you may want to get smaller jars.....you don't want a huge mason jar with a gram in it ya know.

    Ive been smoking out the 8 cup mason jar. I haven't moved to a smaller one yet and this one is down to the last couple grams in the jar.(^Exactly) The buds started to get very crispy around the 4 cup mark. When it was full the buds were just curing as usual. The buds are dry but still sticky and are easier to break down.

    Use a mason jar, every stoner should be required to buy a mason jar the first time they smoke weed

    Also if you don't want to store your jar In a cool dark place just go get a can of spray on window tint from pep boys and tint it out

    Interesting dude I hadn't thought of that.. Anywhere you know where I can buy some of those humidpaks - small one's to fit in my jar? Thanks :)

    Yeh it's weird my jar is in what I thought was a cool dark place :/ But I guess maybe my jar isn't 100% airtight, thanks for the suggestion anyway bro

    i had the same jar before, sometimes it hurts my finger upon opening it.
     
    right now i am using a different jar with this two pieces lid

    Get a TINY piece of Kleenex, wet it, and wring it out so it's just barely moist. Leave it in your jar overnight. The moisture will be absorbed-the Kleenex will be a dry husk and the nugs will be slightly more moist.
