Need Help Choosing New Glass. Phx Vs. Hisi Vs. Gravlabs Vs. Illadelph

  1. Like the title says I will be moving into my own apartment and will be looking to get a nice quality piece of scientific glass. I am looking to spend between 200-300 dollars, so something quality, but definitely not top of the line.

From some research here are my options as of now:

    PHX:
Straight tube PHX. I like PHX mainly for their honeycomb percs but they are in the 500-600 range for a single honeycomb perc so a little out of my price range. Would a straight tube PHX be worth it for right around 300?

    Illadelph:
Straight tube Illadelph. I have hit these quite a bit, and for a non percolated bong they are quite smooth as well as being good quality thick glass. I just think that for 280 for a straight tube no perc I could get more for my money.

    HiSi:
Triple bell perc HiSi. I have heard good and bad things about the quality of the HiSi glass, but to me they look thick and I do like the general appearance of them. I just feel like 3 bell percs is a bit overkill and may have a ton of drag, so for 270 at the top of my price range Id be taking a risk being happy with it.

    GravLabs:
Grav labs 16" straight tube stemless bong with disc (honeycomb) perc. This is the bong I have been looking at the most because it is both quality glass from what I have heard, and it also is a great size, stemless and has a honeycomb perc. I have searched for reviews on this particular bong and havent had much luck because it is new. It is also price below 150 so I would have money to spend on an oil rig, ash catcher, carbon filter, new bowl or whatever else I feel it needs to be everything I want.

These are the 4 specific brands I have been looking at and I am looking for feedback on each, or if you have any experience with any of the particular pieces I would love to hear them. I gave my reasons for possibly wanting them, so Id like to hear your experience directly with them. Also if you have experience with the brand not the particular piece I have mentioned and would like to reccomend that it would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Gravlabs sounds dope

  3. Personally I'd go with the grav labs
Its more my type of bong, plus having the extra money left over is nice

  4. Its not necessary id have that much money left over. The grav labs piece is my number one choice right now but I would buy an A/C for it, as well as an oil rig and activated carbon filter. Not to say they would all be on the piece at the same time but to have options. But its just alot more for your money of quality glass in my opinion.

  5. any other opinions?

  6. Never go with phx as a company, they are over priced and look meh, grav labs is good but if you can get an illadelph for 280 do it, or save up some more and buy a decent sovereignty glass tube, high quality and flawless glass

  7. Its not that I would need to save up money, money isnt the huge issue. I am a full time student and live on my own, so its actually wanting to spend more than 300 dollars on a quality piece that I cant get over. Soverignty and toro are too expensive for what I am looking at and I want a straight tube bong not bubblers like most of their pieces that are around or slightly over 300 dollars.

I am really closely looking at a MGW piece right now though if anyone has any input on them.

  8. For an extra $100 ( 360$+tax ) you could get a goldstein, if you're dropping that much money on a piece you want the most out of what you're getting. They come with adapters so you can dab and hit herb, and look up any function video these stack like crazy.

  9. Like I said in the post right above yours it's not that I am a child saving his allowance to buy a bong, I don't want to spend over 300 dollars on one because in my opinion no piece of glass is actually worth more than 300 dollars. I have school bills and rent that I'd rather pay but I do want to get a decent piece of glass.

Lately I have been looking a lot at the Manifest Glassworks shower head to cirq percolated bong. Anyone have any info on that?

my Apix Designs is my daily driver and everyone that's used it has loved it. I've never used a Sheldon Black that i didnt like, great quality.  Other than Mobius' mouthpieces they all seem pretty nice, the flavor the pentadisc perc saves is very nice IMO.

    edit.

you have to order the Apix from their website directly or pick up a used one, i dont think they're sold in stores....yet

  13. I dont mind that Id have to order directly from them, thats the best way to do things in my opinion. Ive looked at their pieces and they do have some awesome looking glass, but I am still pulling towards the Manifest Glassworks showerhead to cirq percolated bong. I want something rather large and at 18 inches thats definitely a great size.

  14. Go with the migrant if you want it, but a Goldstein won't do ya no wrong. Just don't want a fellow blade to get something he/she might not like

  15. i like the Goldstein also, but it's not for everyone, try and use one first

  16. Grav labs or illadelph. I would go with illadelph since I feel like it's more sturdy.

  18. Instead of a name brand straight tube get a 40 50 $ no name bong with a simple three or four arm tree perc. Be really careful with it. Save up about 600$ and buy a sovereignty stem 8 or a toro 7/13.
