  1. 1. REALISM
Ask me how I view my surroundings and ill present you with REALISM. I'll tell you: logically. I believe realism is a mix of positivity as well as negative. Keep in mind that life isnt 50/50 with this good to bad shit. To follow pessimism you must accept the fact that, indeed.. life sucks most of the time. I repeat: "most" not all. With realism you are free to look both ways as long as you stay in the middle. I wouldn't call it neutral cause it isn't. Its a mixture.

    [EXAMPLE]
"I dont like fish all that much because it stinks, but it does taste great. Plus its healthy as fuck."

    2. PESSIMISM
Now it has come to my attention, that PESSIMISM has an approach very similar to REALISM. Very very close, as the modern world is an advanced form of corruption spawning over the already corrupted, but still, these two are completely distinct methods of observation.

    [EXAMPLE]
"I hate fish because it makes everything smell like salted logs of shit. On top of that, these bone daggers make it a bitch to eat and the damn thing just stares at me while im tearing it apart.. it fuckin stares."

    -SIDE-
For a majority of my lifetime, my older brother and my mother have always labeled me a pessimist. I won't blame them for they're misunderstanding. Sometimes I even find myself struggling to mark the boundary between REALISM and PESSIMISM. Look. But when it comes down to it, at the end of the day, my mother and brother are fucking morons.

    3. OPTIMISM
I'll be clear with you. Optimism is a handy way of seeing the world, but 8 times out of 10 it'll lead you nowhere. If anywhere at all most likely worse. Optimism blinds you from the truth. The truth is reality. Reality is realism.

    [EXAMPLE]
    "Fish is sooo fuckinana scrumptiousss!"

    -SIDE-
I'm steering off slightly now, but i'd like to end with this.

There will never be a utopia. Ever.

Lights may be luminous at first, but then they start to dim, eventually dying out.

Can't say I'll be "positive" about the conclusion (punny as puck, I know) but it is what it is. I'm glad I just got to be a part of it all.

(Hope that last bit doesn't make me look negative haha, it is merely the truth)

Yes. being pessimistic is gratifying sometimes because it makes you think you're seeing the way things 'really are'. The real challenge, truth be told, is to find life 'mostly positive'. This pays off exponentially in giving back to others and making it better. Also, we aren't sitting- half starving- in a dust pit in Syria with our homes bombed out and our loved ones raped or murdered. They have a right to be pessimistic. At the very least, you have access to a computer and probably smoke weed (or have) on a regular basis.

There's alot to be positive/optimistic about. Life is hard at the same time-so what? That's life since the beginning-and much more so.

  7. Yeah, you know what else is mind blowing?

    A dictionary!

  8. Isn't it great that you could share your opinion and view, but instead of people giving any form of advice/trying help or understand your logic at all, it was immediately shot down.

  9. I'm not sure I fully understand the meaning of this thread lol

  10. I'll tell you what pessimism is. It's your base nature having greater hold over you than your higher nature. You are swayed by duality, fettered by what is good and what is bad. What is good and bad? There is action and reaction. The mind is plagued by the senses and battles their influence. Those who worship duality believe in pessimism and optimism and assume such a role themself.

Discard silly notions that set you at odds with the world. Embrace pain the same way you embrace pleasure. The truest truth is that things happen, but truer still is to remain still regardless of the world shifting around you. Attachement to the world and our experiences in it is the greatest falsehood.

Life isn't good or bad; you perceive it to be one or the other. If you look for the negative, then that's what you're going to fine.

But if you honestly think that your life sucks most of the time, then do something about it. I personally feel that my life is good most of the time.

  12. What would you call my view. "this fish stinks but some may find it pleasant we have different perceptions, I like the taste though and it doesn't stink in a bad way!" lol

  13. This fish stinks, but I am very well the fish and the human, the stinkyness and the non stinkyness. I revel in my own existence in its entirety and am grateful for the experience.
