Yellow Specks Forming On Fan Leaves

  1. I vegged this afghan kush X white widow under T5s and as soon as I switched to flower and put her under a 400 watt HPS she started developing these yellow specks w/ brown death . Doesn't look to me like a the normal yellowing you would see with a nitrogren deficiency but there is something weird going on for sure. Not sure if it's ph lockout, too many nutes, or not enough. This problems always seems to happen to me right when I switch to flower. I'm using R/O water with cal-mag added and haven't even fed that much throughout it's life. I flushed the plant about a week ago and it didn't seem to help to much. I flushed with r/o water (ph of 7 and 13 ppm) and the runoff came out at 3000 ppm and a ph of 5! However, flushing didn't seem to help too much. Any help would be great!

  2. Are you growing hydro?

  3. @[member="Reggae420"] nah

  4. How much potassium ate you giving it...

  5. I had the same problem as you and my hydro water was too low in ph.

I would check the ph of your water.

  6. @[member="Hemp Hugger"] i gave 4 tablespoons/gallon on the last feed and the problem still got worse.

  7. looks like calcium which is locked out from low ph..cal and mag are usually first to get locked out..last time i had low ph in ffof i flushed with molasses and it raised the ph to 6.5 and fixed it..molasses has cal and mag and also feeds the microbes in the soil to help balance ph..it also works good for removing salts with the sugars

  8. @[member="TinTizzy"] Oh ok cool that's interesting i'll definitely try that. Thanks. I had a feeling it was a cal/mag problem.

  9. My blue mystic in a 3 gal did the EXACT same thing. She was root bound to shit. It was my first plant and i thought 3gal was sufficient. She still flowered beautifully but i wish i had known at the time to put her in a 5. When i pulled her out after i cut her down, i was like holy shit root bound.

  10. @[member="punchreba"] haha i remember u, ur the root bound guy! But are you ABSOLUTELY sure that's what was causing your yellowing? I guess the main reason I don' think it's rootbound is because I had an outdoor plant that grew to be 7 feet tall in a tiny 2 gallon pot and never got rootbound. Also, I can dig up the first two inches of soil and not find ANY roots. I feel like a rootbound plant you wouldn't even be able to move the soil around because the roots would be making the soil rock hard. Thanks though I will definitely consider this.

  11. Did you slowly lower your mh light day by day to slowly acclimate your plants to a higher intensity light?

  12. @[member="CE1122"] I used T5's and no so i'm sure it was a shock. But it's still yellowing so I think it would be used to the light bight now.

  13. Yeah for sure it was. I even saw roots on top of soil and i had to keep putting fresh soil on top... Im sure some strains get worse than others
