Minimizing Light Leaks During Bloom With Schedule?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by GreenSnapper, Apr 16, 2014.

  1. Hello anyone or everyone

Currently finishing up week 5 of veg and about to initiate 12/12.

I am growing in a garage, no grow tent, but have a reasonable ghetto rigged corner barricade with reflective material.

Grow is adjacent to a door, so I patched up the bottom of the door (crack at the base when the door is closed) to minimize light coming through.

My intuition is telling me to have lights on from 8am to 8pm, so that any light leaks are minimized. Sun rises at like 7:18am currently and takes a little while for it to get over the horizon and hit this door close to my girls.

A similar situation will occur at sunset, circa 7pm, (indirect light from window in garage) but we all know the sky is lit up well after the sun has officially set.

My girls will recieive minor light leaks for perhaps 1/2 an hour at the beggining and tale end of lights on If I use this timing cycle. Obviously, If I were to have the lights on all night, and then lights out during the day, the girls would be much more susceptible to light leaks effecting their growth and perhaps even cause  hermies.

Any thoughts if this logic is reasonable?

If my memory serves me right I have blueberry/strawberry haze world of seeds and a Hawaiian skunk haze. One appearing more indica dominant the other more sativa dominant. \\

    Thanks any advice or thoughts
