Hello fellow GC members. Curious if anyone else Carey's a flashlight everyday and for what purpose? What type of flashlight is it? Do you have more than one? Pics? Stories? If you have any input on them would be cool to get it. I'll go first. I like small compact flashlights that pack an intense beam 250lm or higher preferably. The intended purpose is for general lighting when needed but also to serve as a self defense tool in case of emergency. I used to carry a streamlight pro tac 2l, it was perfect size for me and produced a great solid whit light. Unfortunately for now it is lost. Currently I have a surefire E2 LED Defender Ultra. Puts out 500lm and has a much tighter beam focused in the center and plenty of spill to offer ambient lighting. 10x the brightness needed to blind someone who's eyes are adapted to darkness. Last, hefty price tag but definitely superior quality and great over all feel even though it's slightly bigger. Hopefully some of you like flashlights as much as me and this wasn't pointless lol. I've got a Ledlenser P7 and the head-torch one. They're small, strong and for the price they pack one helluva punch. I also have the second largest maglight on offer. Partly because they're cool and easy to find if power goes off. The main reason for one is they're not a lethal weapon so I won't get in as much trouble if I cave a burglar's head in with it.
