So a few weeks ago I purchased a hammer-style pipe, and while I was smoking out of it with my buddy he explained that what most people do with hammer-style pipes is crack the inside of the bowl a little to let nugs fall through more easily, so that over time resin will collect around the nugs and then you can just hit the empty pipe for massive rips basically whenever. Anyone here ever heard of this? I imagine it would be effective, and I wouldn't have to crack my hammer because the carb is massive, I can drop little pieces of weed in there whenever I smoke or have a little extra roach weed.
Dude as soon as green weed gets wet its basically unsmokable. I've never heard of anyone purposely cracking their bong/pipe/bubbler for ANY reason Nd I'd waaay rather hit a fat bowl of greens than an empty bowl tryna get resin. Moral of this post? Nah man it's not a bubbler at all, it's a dry pipe lol. My understanding is that they call it a hammer because it's long and the bowl extends downward similar to a hammer, so theres a lot of room around in the chamber.
The angle at which you smoke out of the pipe makes it nearly impossible to get scooby snacks. It's the one on the right in the attached picture. As you can see the bowl is pretty long at the bottom

Doesn't look like a hammer to me. Just looks like a spoon. Don't put your weed inside your pipe op that's gross. Smoke the weed then clean your pipe with rubbing alcohol and salt when it gets dirty and flush the resin down the drain. Sent from my MB886 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
