Discolored Buds Near End Of Flowering?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by chongo101, Apr 16, 2014.

  1. I have some plants that are developing white/yellow spots on the buds themselves. They look almost bleached but they are not dry, just discolored. They are nearing the end of flowering. It's god's gift. 8-9 week strain with about 2 weeks left (i will start flushing in a few days).
\nThey look great besides this and it's just randomly on nugs throughout the room. It started on just a few plants but is sporadically spreading more and i'd like to identify the problem before it gets any worse.
\nThey are NOT being burned by the lights because
    1) many of the problem buds are beneath the top canopy (while many buds right under the lights are totally fine).
    2) the lights are air cooled and it's they same temp throughout the room.
\nThere is PLENTY of airflow. It's not over 85 in there ever. My guess is nutrient burn, but i can't be sure. Ive been using cutting edge and I have only added sugaree recently and other then that their nutrient regiment has been the same since flowering started (and there has been no problems since now).  It almost looks like the start of bud rot, but it only affects the outside of the nugs, nothing below the outer layer (budrot starts inside and moves out). Its got me confuzzeled.
\nhere are some pics of some smaller buds i took out that are really bad. They last one is hard to see since it's under the hps lights but i didn't want to cut off any larger nugs.
sorry my post was so long. if anyone can help that would be cool. thanks a lot.
