What If There Was Nothing?

Discussion in 'High Ideas' started by 2047, Apr 16, 2014.

1. Have you ever sat thinking what it would be like if there was no universe or space or anything? What would we feel? Would everything just be black? I sometimes think about this and go into a deep trans and forget who I am and how any of the universe exists.

2. "Nor was it once, nor will it be, since it Is; now, all together -- One, continuous;
for what coming-to-be of it will you seek? In what way, from where, did it grow?
Neither from what-is-not shall I allow you to say or think;
for it is not to be said or thought-That it is not.
And what need could have impelled it to grow, later or sooner, if it began from nothing?
Thus, it must either Be completely or not at all."

4. If you get into the science of everything, the universe is made up of more empty space than solid matter.  Even in anything that you can see or touch, there is so much more empty space to it than matter.  Makes you wonder why we see the matter at all.  Or does it even matter haha

5. If there was nothing, things would be much less interesting.

6. its one big time loop

7. It is impossible for nothing to exist.

Nothing itself only exists because there is something.

If there was nothing, nothing wouldn't exist.

8. There cannot be nothing. Because nothing doesnt exist. Not even time exists when nothing exists.

So nothing existed for no ammount of time before something existed. This is why we are all here.

Because by definition nothing doesnt exist.

9. Yeah I think about this all the time. I believe that when we die, we cease to exist. We can't think or feel or anything else. It's just nothingness. But how do you even comprehend that? It's not darkness, because that would be something. You just can't experience anything so you're not even aware of it. That really scares the fuck out of me, but it's the most logical explanation to what happens when we dies, in my opinion.
